Was carrying a small garden rake for my mum since she was carrying too much (I had the intention of leaving after I put it on the cashier desk), and as we reached the desk and I put all the items there, the lady asked me for ID, and when I explained that it wasn't for me and I wasn't buying it, and that it was for my mum, she insisted on me being the one who showed ID because I'm the one who put it there. First of all, last time I checked a garden rake wasn't an age restricted item? And second of all, if the item isn't for me and I'm not the one purchasing it then why should I be the one who shows my ID? Anyways, this went on back and forth for 30 seconds before I just gave up and said to her to just put it to the side as I wouldn't be showing my ID (not only because it wasn't needed but because I didn't have any ID on me), so we ended up leaving without a garden rake which the lady insisted was an age restricted item.

We shopped there, manager was great in helping out as wife worked for corporate 35 years, id would not come up in their system, manager fixed it.

What a great store! Seems small from the outside till you get in and see the escalators. Exactly like the North American stores with extra unique added things. Prices were great

I went to TK Maxx to return a men?s t-shirt I bought a couple of weeks ago for around £20. When I got home and looked at it properly, I noticed a hole in it. Since both my husband and I work full-time, we couldn?t go back straight away, but we returned within the 28-day return period and had the receipt.
I explained everything to the woman who seemed to be the manager, but she was very dismissive. She insisted their staff always check items before selling and refused to accept it could?ve been missed. I even suggested she check the CCTV, but she refused and said she couldn?t offer a refund or exchange.
As someone who works in retail myself, I know how important customer satisfaction is ? and I was honestly disappointed with how she handled the situation.
Thankfully, a male manager later stepped in, was polite and understanding, and resolved it quickly by offering an exchange. I really appreciate his help.
I personally like TK Maxx ? I?ve always enjoyed their product selection and deals, but this experience really put me off. I hope they take steps to ensure staff handle genuine customer concerns with more professionalism and care.

I have been visiting this store for the last 4 years with my dog and today I have been stopped at the door lett
letting me know dog policy has changed and they're not allowed anymore. What a shame!

Ive been to tk maxx all over europe and this one is standard not a great selection here if im honest (every tk maxx has different selections dependant on region and fashion)
This location has very limited stock choices
Last time i went they had a puffer jacket with a massive tear which needed repairing (stuffing all falling out) professionaly it was unwearable but still up for £20 but really shouldnt have been up for sale at all i notified a staff member to the damage and they shrugged and said thats why it was reduced to £20
The best tk maxx ive been to so far is in poland (krakow) and london has some very good ones as well (multiple locations )

Only came here for reasonable prices but had terrible quality. Ripped,dirty,out of place and visible for being used easily. No one buying this!
Only the snacks are aight,rest of the stuff they sell is not worth a penny.
Do not reccomend.

We were stopped by the entrance today informing us that TK Maxx (southampton store) does not allow dogs. I have been to the store many times before! It was a bit embarrassing in front of everyone by the entrance! Such a shame I always liked to go to that store!
