We had a fabulous night?s stay at The Pig in the Wall. Our room (4) was spotlessly clean, with the most comfortable bed. The room was decorated so stylishly and there was everything in the room we could have needed. The staff were very welcoming and couldn?t have been more helpful.Breakfast was superb - an excellent choice of cold and cooked foods. The location is very good for exploring Southampton - overall I?d thoroughly recommend this hotel. The cocktails are great too!

A go to happy place! One of a kind atmosphere at the Pigs across the South of England. When around, always stop by for a drink or some 'Piggy' snacks. Setting and service are always top notch. You will struggle to find better quality in Southampton.Food & drinks: Snacks and bite food available

Food & drinks: We had the most special time. Everyone is so lovely and the whole place is so Christmassy. Wonderful place for drinks and nibbles with your favourite people

Stayed here under the 'Supper and Snooze' offer which is basically a deli supper with bed and breakfast for two at £220. The 'room' we were given was basically a converted attic space, which I believe they described as 'snug'! Snug was an understatement...you could only access one side of the bed by ducking to avoid the slanting ceiling eaves and only dress by sitting on the bed. The room was suitable for a single bed at the very best and the almost vertical stairs to the room were, in my opinion, quite dangerous! Our deli supper and breakfast was poor and not up to normal 'PIG' standards. I'm afraid this is one PIG we won't be returning to...sorry!

What an amazing cosy hotel. From the moment we walked in everyone was very welcoming and friendly. The beds are very comfortable, the room we stayed in was lovely and very well equipped. Breakfast was beautiful. Every part of our stay was just exquisite. If you get the chance to stay here you have to try their sausage roll, they are delicious. With the hotel being located just a short walk into Southampton town center it makes the perfect stop for shopping and then to unwind. I will look forward to returning here.

Below average lunch for two vegetarians. We ordered the broccoli and cauliflower soup and a side dish of new potatoes with spring onions and mustard. The soup arrived scalding hot - had to leave it for 10 minutes to cool down. Watery consistency and lacking in flavour. Croutons but no bread served for £8! The side dish wasn't much better - potatoes just about cooked and again not much flavour. Not what we expected for the price charged and the reputation of The Pig chain.

Beautiful hotel, one of the comfiest beds I?ve ever slept in (and I?m not very good at sleeping in new beds). Staff are lovely and accommodating and the food is delicious. The only strange thing is paying for the car park if you?re a guest, should just be a part of the cost of the stay.Rooms: Spacious and comfortableFood & drinks: Delicious!

We love The Pig in the Wall. This was our second visit here and found it to be as good or better than the last time we stayed. The accommodations were unique in this historical building. The breakfast buffet was excellent too. TheInn is on the border of Old Town, which makes it great for walking the area from the hotel. Then?it?s a short cab ride to get on your cruise ship.
