I found myself confronting an unexpected challenge in my pursuit of relief from a persistent earache upon my return from a recent Holiday. Enduring discomfort intensified by an intolerance to ibuprofen, I sought solace in the prospect of acquiring solpadine max at the convenient locale of Tesco in Southampton. Little did I anticipate the ensuing encounter at the pharmacy counter. It was during this quest for solace that I entered the pharmacy with a sense of optimism, yet the response I encountered was anything but anticipated. The pharmacist on duty, though undoubtedly knowledgeable within their domain, seemingly lacked an intimate understanding of the excruciating nature of ear pain. Despite my expressed desire to obtain solpadine max, I was met with firm resistance, as the pharmacist, albeit with the best of intentions, took it upon themselves to deem the medication unsuitable for earache. The resultant exchange left me feeling annoyed and insulted, as the pharmacist determined that my ear pain did not warrant a treatment beyond paracetamol. Furthermore, I was not offered additional advice or directed to seek consultation with a doctor. In moments such as these, when an individual seeks healthcare products to assuage their discomfort, it is crucial to experience a degree of empathy and understanding from the healthcare professional at hand. This experience, regrettably, fell short of that expectation.

Absolutely terrible service and I have called the pharmacy 12 times and they blatantly put the phone down when it?s ringing or actually anything other than answering.

I have never known such an awful pharmacy with awful customer service. I got to the queue at 1.31pm whilst they were still serving a gentlemen. The woman behind the counter was very abrupt and said they won?t serve me til 2pm. However, they kept answering questions for other people. I told her I needed my inhaler as I was out of breath (chest infection and am asthmatic). She continued to ignore me though it was obvious I was short of breath. I stood in queue as I wasn?t able to walk and then come back as I desperately needed my inhaler. The time that was displayed was reopening at 2pm. The woman then changed it to 2.15pm. I said that it was not fair as I was in the queue at 1.31pm. She just blanked me and went off. This is the final straw fir this pharmacy. I regularly get my prescriptions from here being an asthmatic. However, they are rude, uncaring and I have never not been kept waiting at least 20 minutes to half an hour each time I come. It was disgusting that I was struggling to talk yet she did not care one bit. Very rude and I will never use them again. Awful, just awful and yes, I do always wait for a text before I come to collect my prescription. It makes absolutely no difference to the time you wait. Shocking just shocking.Update: when I was finally served, I was told that they didn?t have my steroids which I badly needed for my asthma. So, back to waiting again. The gentleman behind me had a full blown row with the lady after he waited 30 mins. Diabolical service Tesco. Never again!

Soooo sloooow!! Lazy staff walking round nonchalantly with their head in the clouds. Thick as two short planks. You are ALWAYS refused over the counter drugs, so save yourself the embarrassment by not asking. Was asked infront a huge queue why I wanted lactose!! I told her it was to use instead of shampoo and was refused sale. Never going back. Worst pharmacy I've ever been to.

6 people behind the counter but only serving one person at a time, extremely slow and when I finally got served was only given part of my prescription and then again part missing with the blame being put on my GP because the medication was on separate prescriptions, highly unrecommended

Answer your phone!¬!! No kidding, I called 45 TIMES over 5 hours yesterday and am trying to call now, am on call 15 and still no answer, what a JOKE !!! This means I will end having to try and get there, not knowing if my prescription has been done, and because I am disabled with long term chronic pain, this will cause me to suffer more pain un-necassarily. IT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE !!!!!!!!~~UPDATE~~ I am now on call 75.....Yes thats right 75 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to the pharmacy to day for some tablets and I was served by Michele who went above and beyond to help me. Thank you.

Never answer the phone to check if medication is in stock to prevent long waiting in a queue at the store. Some staff extremely rude and question your medications provided by doctors or specialists as if you don't need them!

I have never been into a pharmacy where over the counter medicines are refused. It?s happened twice in this pharmacy, on one occasion they refused to sell me over the counter eye drops. Today?s incident was humiliating as I was being asked private information of front of a queue of at least 10 people who could clearly hear the unreasonable interrogation and the ensuing refusal to sell me over the counter medicine. I will avoid at all costs in the future, as I was treated in a dreadful manner.
