2nd time using this restaurant for a take away, very quick service. Refreshing to be aloud to pay cash on delivery and the food is top standard! Salt and pepper prawns, insane flavour. Beef and black bean, meat was so so tender, the beef melted in iur m I mouths, not chewy at all, which is rare for a Chinese takeaway so this is a huge plus, and their chilli and onion rice is to die for. Highly recommend ? it's definitely our new favourite place ?

We really enjoyed our meal for a family birthday. Staff were so helpful and patient assisting us to select meals that were gluten free, and also very prompt in their timing for the food delivery, highly recommended Thank you

For the last decade, every single Saturday, I've been in a committed relationship with Taste of China in Southampton. That?s right, while others were getting married, having kids, and climbing corporate ladders, I was living my best life strolling into Taste of China and picking up my weekly dose of happiness.
Their curry? If heaven had a flavor, it would taste like that. I?m convinced there?s some sort of sorcery involved, but I?m not asking questions. And the chow mein? Let?s just say if it were legal to marry noodles, I?d be browsing wedding venues right now.
I?ve been collecting my order with the kind of consistency that would make the Royal Mail jealous. Rain or shine, I?m there at the counter like clockwork. I?m pretty sure they could recognize me by silhouette at this point. Sometimes I wonder if I?m on their Christmas card list.
In short, if you want your taste buds to feel like they've won the lottery, head over to Taste of China. Tell them I sent you, I?m practically part of the décor by now.

Delivery was an hour plus ,food was luke warm and was the worst chinese I've ever had.

Stale food.
Beef was dry.
Prawn crackers were old.
Chow mein was dry and cold.....
Duck in plumb sauce?
More like plum in duck sauce....such a small portion for a disgusting price.

I've been going here for over a year now and I've always been impressed with how consistently great the food is. there special menu means even of a budget you can get enough to feed 2-4 people ( depending on the person ). best Chinese takeout food in Southampton hands down.

taste of China located opposite St Mary's college in St Mary's Street southampton is a fantastic tasty Chinese takeaway. .
serving up delicious foods for well over 20 years now!
cover a wide range of areas for food deliveries from St Mary's/northam portswood/shirley
they serve up well good grub, i know I've been sourcing my takeaways from them for years. . .
previously only ever regularly ordering from the late great Chinese takeaway in portswood (moon river)
up until they inevitably sought retirement and sold up!
so' if you're fancying a truely tasty Chinese!!
give em a try you're be glad you did
