First time and last time using this shell garage. I usually pay for fuel with a card fuel. Today I filled up the tank and went to pay at the night window as wasn?t open yet. I told him I?ll pay by card and was very surprised as even before inserting the fuel card in the machine I?ve seen the message with approved. I asked the guy what?s happening and he said the money was taking from my direct debit card by contactless. Very surprised as my wallet was not even close to the POS. I?ve been using other garages and sometimes I put my wallet on the table close to the POS and never happened. Just a heads up for rest of the people. I will have a look where I can make a complain further to authorities as it?s unacceptable for contactless to work on a big distance.

Waited for 10 mins for any staff to come out to the shop today, no one turned up. Came back an hour later and the staff member refused to open the door and used the night pay at 9am, which to me is definitely not nighttime.

Used vacuum cleaner on site. I paid, and the vacuum turned on but had no suction, so I could not use it.
I went into the store and spoke to Gopi. Gopi was extremely unhelpful. I explained what had happened and asked for a refund. Gopi could only speak limited English, so they could not understand what I was saying. He then started to try to order me about it rather than being polite and asking me what the issue was. When I challenged him about his rudeness, he ignored me.
Stated that I had to send an email to my bank company to request a request using the mobile app. He did not check on the vacuum, and it was not taken out of service.
Edit - Further to the response. Shell stated not owned nor operated by them but by another company and, therefore, are not doing anything.

The staff were very helpful when I called in yesterday and asked for directions to the local crematorium. They went the extra mile to assist me and this meant that I was able to get there on time.

Am a local resident and have always had good experience with this garage over the years. Staff are always friendly and polite. But the only thing I have had a problem with is the cash machine. When it was shell It was constantly out of use. But now it seems it gets turned off every evening as works every day I've been but when had to go later that evening to get more money out it's not working. But then the next morning around 8/9 it's working again.

Customer service has been terrible since the store has changed. I got the impression that the boys don't seem to know the meaning of "customer service" because of lack of respect, it seems like a favor that they do. What happened to the good previous employees?
