Booked a room for my parents and they were very happy with it. I stayed with them and the room was great. They were very pleased with the breakfast offered by the restaurant as well.

My partner and I stayed for one night and it's a great night sleep, good price, and the options were fantastic! I've never really been a fan of the Premier Inn because of its prices but it was a good shout and the beds were comfortable. It's also the first time ever I've been in a breakfast buffet with peanut butter as a toast topping! Not a bad place to stay, would stay again. Be cautious of the £10 parking overnight fee if you're driving.

This is 2nd visit here. Everyone is so welcoming, helpful. The evening meals & breakfasts were very good, especially when booking them on a meal deal £24.99 each for both evening/breakfast.Rooms: Lovely spacious double room with tea/coffee, towels & tv.Food & drinks: Food very good.

Rooms, good and clean, usual Premier style room. Hotel backed onto busy rail line, which was noisy throughout the nightThe description of the hotel had warned about this and it didn't both us but you need to keep the windows closed to be able to sleep. Reception staff were very poor and not particularly helpful especially when it came to enquiries about parking. The hotel was on a busy junction and was quite obvious in the daylight. At night the illuminated Premier Inn board outside really needs to be lit up so visitors to the area can see where to go.Food & drinks: Good 5th floor restaurant, good service, usual Premier menu.

The hotel location is great for work and cruises, however the food service is shocking couldn?t bring a main meal in 2 hours whilst having maximum 20 guests. Meal deal isn?t worth it eat else where might get a drink if you order at the bar and. A starter if you?re lucky . Heating and air conditioning doesn?t work in any room so don?t be shocked. Also if you get a good odd number room it will back onto the train track which is used throughout the night

Typical Premier Inn. Mostly as one would expect. However, a couple of issues. Firstly the parking situation is appalling. While there are limited spaces, and a charge of £10 per night, one can incur a charge for being in the car park, not finding a space, and taking the time to unload. There is a car park nearby, which is fine, but one should have ample to to unload outside the hotel without incurring a penalty. Also, reception staff did get priorities wrong. With the parking situation as it is, they should facilitate unloading first, then advise you to check in after parking in the alternate car park if necessary. They were all over the place when I checked in.I would rather have used their automated check-in. They do have the machines there. Would rather have restricted my conversation with staff to parking. However, they insisted on checking me in themselves.Could have been a 5-star review, but the parking situation, and management by reception staff bring it down to 4-star.

Very popular local hotel in walking distance of city centre and also small local shops.Arrived 30 minutes early and was disappointed to be turned away until 3pm official check in time, but for £10 we could, so the room must have been available. Several other guest experienced the same scenario and I find this pedantic attitude a bit strange as we have always been allowed to check-in early at West Quay, their sister hotel, without fuss or charge if it's within 2 hours and there is a room ready. They understand that trains etc arrive at different times and people have travelled far to get to Southampton.Once check-in opened all the guests piled in and it could have been chaos if not for the most excellent lady with the foreign accent and wonderful attitude, sorry I did not get her name but she also handled dinner service like an expert with positivity and grace. She is a tribute to your hotel and I hope you can work out who I am referring to. She deserves an accolade for her handling stress and making guest welcome. However amongst the positive we experienced the worst nights sleep ever as the air conditioning was not available and the room was absolutely stifling... There was a large desk fan but however hard it tried there was no air to fan and this was pretty awful. We hope this might be a temporary hiccough in the scheme of things. The hotel is very nice and comfortable but another small concern, and something harder to rectify is having to go to the upper floors to the toilet when waiting for a taxi after checkout. This is a considerable problem and cause of concern as what is a person supposed to do if they have relinquished their key and can't use the lift?We would stay here again inspite of the niggles but only if WestQuay is not available.

Overall a pleasant experience, room was clean, the fan into bathroom was noisy and you had to sleep with windows open as no air con in rooms. We had a meal in restaurant on 5th floor, good choices but wife had an issue with her meal as the burger came out and was rock hard around the edge of the whole burger. The duty manager Sara was very apologetic and asked if she wanted to order something else from menu but she declined and so didn't charge us for her meal and also she had a free desert too and Sara was just full of apologies and was very pleasant and friendly. We parked our car on the car park at the hotel and cost £10.00 which I thought was very reasonable. The car was safe as the area the hotel in was a bit suspect. Close to the main road and got constant noise of cars racing and sirens going through the night because windows were open due to no AirconSafety: Parked car in car park and was safe and only cost £10 for the parking which thought was very reasonable. The area the hotel is in looks a bit suspect and continuous sirens going off all night as it was near to the main route by the docks and it sounded like being used as a race track at times. Had to have windows open as rooms don't have air con and it was very stuffy.

Worst premier in we have stayed in. The hygiene was to be desired. The tables were sticky and the carpets needed a good clean. The hall ways smelt musky. Ladies toilets needed a good clean. Our room was only ok and the noise from the extractor fan in the bathroom was really load. The bed nothing like other premier inns we have been to - so uncomfortable. The curtains were very drab. The whole room needed a good refurbishment. The wi fi was a waste of time. I went to the reception and give her due she did upgrade us but it still didn?t work. Next morning outside reception a big leak coming from a drain and not a nice sight (not just water), flowing everywhere. Staff were so loud. It?s the first premier we have not eaten at - we have spent time at many and not experienced that kind of stay.

After reading so many negative reviews was delighted to experience the opposite of many others. We booked to spend night before joining cruise and our room was nice and quiet and we had a great night?s sleep in a very comfortable bed. The room was well appointed and spacious.

Firstly the staff were very polite and we did have a good breakfast but this hotel is very disappointing, I paid £186 for the night on the 16th September in a room not worth £40. The air conditioning was broken and our room 201 was boiling hot, a fan had been left in the room but this just made it hotter! Curtains with holes in skirting boards in the bathroom swollen up and cracked damaged walls within our room just not what I would expect from premier inn. The general appearance of the hotel is its old and tired and in need of a major refit, not sure what?s going on with the maintenance team here I?ve stayed in other premier inn within the city and they have all been better . Location good for the city but £10 to park in the car park that?s part of the actual hotel also a bit out of order. If your looking to stay in Southampton in premier inn use the west quay or Cumberland place ones and avoid this hotel.

Family room booked for a good nights sleep. Bed comfy however room was like an oven. We got about 2 hours sleep. Made for a difficult next day with 2 children. We could have callednm reception but didn?t want to move family at 3 in the morning. If you have kids give this hotel a miss if you don?t like hot rooms.

We had a very relaxing few nights here. We stayed in the September heatwave and our room was so cool and out of direct sunlight (330). The rooms were clean and tidy and looked relatively new. We had a good night's sleep. Breakfast was great with lots of choice. Kasia was so helpful to us, suggesting places to visit and ensuring we had everything we need. I may be converted from Travelodge.... :-)
