Beware of buying items from here. They often sell rotten fruits and veggies pretending it?s good. Today I bought those plums, see the condition, 90% of them already soft like water balloons and rotten. Thrown it in the bin. Previously it happened for tomatoes as well.

Usually good in the morning but by the end of the day the place is ransacked, certainly not cheap anymore, large supermarkets are cheaper on most items these days, and why spend thousands of pounds putting in all the additional self serve tills but rarely use them, seem happy in this store for customers to queue half way down the frozen aisle instead of improving service and opening the left side of self serve

Lidl in Shirley. We spent a long time browsing - now terrified that I'm going to get a parking ticket for more than 90 minutes.
Positives: you get a lot for your money.
Lovely staff with a good sense of humour.
Middle of Lidl is the highpoint, and the main reason for going in to Lidl; but Head Office thinks that it's primarily a supermarket. More German stationery, please.
Negatives: people give you funny looks when you speak German in a ..oh yes..German supermarket!
Lots of packaging and bread bags etc on the floor. These really are a slip and trip hazard.

Probably spent a load of money Refurbing the store with all new self scan tills only to ever use less than half of them, has huge ques all the time! Clearly run by a clown.
