Genuinly impressed by the staff and their avoidance of a massive build up guests at 3 o?clock (because of an event in the Novotel) by letting us check in early. As far as I am concerned this showed staff who think on their feet and want to make sure everyone has a great experience.Honestly, I can?t fault them. Me and my friend had an awesome stay with them.

The receptionist at the Ibis Southampton City Centre recognised me and called my husband to inform him that I was checking into a hotel room with another man. She wasn't to know that my husband and I are polyamorous and that he was well aware of the situation, but that doesn't excuse the total violation of privacy, confidence and trust in what should have been a private matter. Disgusting behaviour and totally unprofessional.

A very bad place... Never think about staying there... Everything is indescribable... The worst place I have stayed in my entire life.Everything written in their definition is just a lie...no heating or the simplest amenities...in short...it is better to spend the night in the street than in Ibis...

Perfect location for our ship as we could walk in 5 minutes. I added parking which was very reasonable. Breakfast was nice and the room was comfy. Stayed in the ibis budget opposite before, which was fine but this one is a little bit

First time staying at this Ibis, usually use Ibis budget. Check in staff were helpful and friendly. Room was a fairly good size with full size bath. Shower was good. Towels provided on our stay as well, despite bringing our own just in case. Room was clean and tidy upon our arrival. Only gripe, is that the rooms could do with a bit of an update, such as phone charging points, but other than that, a pleasant stay.

We stayed here on Saturday night as it was very close to the venue that we was attending that evening. We picked this instead of the budget ibis over the road in the end even ended up paying less than the budget after signing up through their website. Hotel was quiet , bed was really comfy , has everything you need for a short stay. Staff seemed helpful too. We was on floor 1. Easy access to Southampton central , and also we recommend the TGI Fridays which was outside. The only thing was you have to pay £10 overnight to park your car on site. We will return, if ever in the area! :).

Fantastic location of this hotel for the city centre and all other attractions including the cruise port. Hotel is slightly dated but definitely worth the price we paid. Near many shops and places to eat, the staff were very friendly too.Walkability: You can easily walk into the city centre of Southampton and to the nearby shopping centre, as well as Asda supermarket

Great location next to the cruise terminal (horizon) and easy walk to shops and restaurants of Southampton. Overall clean rooms and good facilities.Walkability: Easy walk to horizon cruise terminal and to local shops and restaurants ?
