The Holiday Inn at West End provided refreshments for the wake after my fathers funeral.The staff were superb, and could not have been more helpful.The sandwiches, salads and biscuits were delicious, all freshly prepared and well presented. There was was plenty of space allocated for the mourners. 5/5 stars all round.

We booked through the package deal through Paulton?s Park for my daughter?s birthday. We were very impressed how you went the extra mile to put balloons and a card in our room to help celebrate. She was thrilled. Room was a little snug but clean and the shower was hot with plenty of towels. Breakfast was lovely, with lots of different choices, my son loved your pancake machine! Thank you!!

Booked this as part of a Paultons Park package and we didn't feel this was a child friendly hotel. We had a sofa bed which had sharp metal sticking out the side and I cut my leg on. And the room was so small we couldn't get around the sides of the bed so not suitable for 4 people with a pushchair. The breakfast was a bit rubbish but expected for the type of hotel and when we said we weren't 100% happy on leaving the receptionist said "well you should have gone to the Hilton". So not impressed and won't be returning.

Everything was fine but on returning from our cruise to the hotel to pick up our car from the carpark we discovered it had been stolen,the staff at the hotel were great nothing to much trouble,police informed ,apparently car theft from cruise hotels is rife.wojkdnt be so bad but we have a journey of 360 miles ahead of us.

Carpet in room was heavily stained. Cups/ t spoons not changed. Only 1 bath towel changed and left in the sink.Stay away from the sundried tomato panini ours was stale bread and rock hard. Didn't have breakfast even though we paid for it and didn't want to waste our money on anything else meal wise.Received a friendly welcome though, so we were disappointed with our stay.Plus point is location to the M way.

Came here to stay the night before going away. Parking was good and staff was so friendly. Would highly recommend and look forward to visiting again.

Rooms very comfortable and clean ..staff attitude was impeccable and couldn't do enough to ensure we had a great stay . Park and stay for going on a cruise from Southampton.. ideal , will certainly do the same again .

Pleasantly surprised. We stayed for 3 nights over Christmas and had a great stay. Lovely room, which was clean, spacious, and quiet. Friendly staff even though they were working Christmas day. Good options for breakfast and decent quality. Amazing that they are dog friendly too! Would definitely stay again.Nearby activities: Close to Itchen valley country park - great for dog walks and activities for kids

Great place to stay. Breakfast has changed since our stay in March but not for the best. Alot of food options removed but what is now offered not too bad. Rooms are lovely. Just to let you know there are no fridges in the room. In fact the rooms are quite minimal but very, very comfortable. Modern bathrooms with beautiful toiletries. Stayed here twice and would definitely recommend this hotel. The is location great. Hats of to the staff here who give you a friendly welcome and couldn't do more to ensure you have an enjoyable stay with great customer service. Thank you...see you in September.
