“Work for local authority and find most of the guys and girls helpful, went in today for an order of lumber, asked the first "customer assistant" busily strapping some wood for some help and was mumbled at and pointed in the direction of all the finished lumber with a much interest as he could obviously be bothered to muster! Then after wandering the aisles like a lost child in a supermarket scratching my head ( I am not a carpenter) thankfully Max turned up and saved the day and more time of mine wandering aimlessly around. “probably the friendliest branch in Hampshire, idk if I just popped in on a particularly pleasant day, but everyone seemed to be having a great time! it's always a boost when you've popped out to buy a replacement to something you just broke, and the chap behind the counter is cheery and helpful

they gave me a few options of things to buy, one I could get immediately, or one I'd have to wait for
as well as the knowledge the one with wait isn't in stock at nearby branches, lest I wanted to have a wee pootle in the van
