My hearty appreciation for Hannah the store manager of Argos West Quay! I have bought a coffee table and was unable to fix the screws into the solid wood, and was planning to return this product to this store. While I explained the situation to the staff, originally they said being unable to build a furniture is not a invalid reason for return and refund, yet at the same time manager Hannah went an extra mile and offered to help us build that coffee table on spot using a more powerful drill! This was truly helpful and nice of her and thank you once again Hannah!

Despite the issues with the wider company (Order not available, etc, just see TrustPilot for that..), purchased a product today, excellent customer service, kind, patient and a great conversation. Both staff members I interacted with were excellent and helped with awkward things like gift cards. Outstanding!

Unfortunately Argos do not realistically recycle old electronics, even though the company states they do. ONLY IF you buy a new electronic product will they accept your old one!
I bought two oil-filled radiators from them 2-3 years ago, now they stopped working. I went in hoping to drop them off. Was told I need to buy a new one in order for them to be interested in recycling my old one.
It?s a shame.
Staff were kind though! It?s not their fault! My review is entirely based on the company?s policies and false advertising!

Has everything you need if avoiding the city centre

Argos used to be a convenient place for online. Click and collect shopping, but lately, their service and customer support have been declining. The in-store experience, especially at the city centre location, has become increasingly frustrating. The staff seem disinterested and rushed, rarely taking the time to properly address customer inquiries. The level of customer service has significantly deteriorated, and it feels like employees are more focused on getting through the next transaction rather than actually helping people. They started selling used product as brand new and when I appeal for returning the product due to the defective issue, they say it?s been used without using how come we can test the product. Overall, Argos has lost much of its appeal, both in terms of customer care and product.

Argos used to be a reliable store in the past, but lately, their product quality has declined, and the customer service has become increasingly rude. I got a defective item, but they insist on getting a certificate from a certified company before processing a return, even though the product doesn't seem authentic.
I won?t be shopping at Argos in the future, especially after the offensive responses I received from the customer service team at the West Quay Southampton store.

As I write this into my Moaning Manuscript, I?m faced with a choice: let it go or let it out. Naturally, I chose the latter!
On this wet, windy day, I realised I needed headphones after losing mine. While browsing Amazon, I spotted Argos and thought, ?Why not support retail?? It?s been nearly a decade since I last set foot inside! I bravely entered, found the headphones, and bought them, but as soon as I plugged them into my phone outside, they didn?t work.
Back I went, explaining my ?silly mistake? to a staff member. She initially seemed empathetic until the manager chimed in with all the warmth of a corporate robot, insisting there was ?nothing? they could do since it was my phone?s fault. I pleaded for a bit of realism and heart, something you never get when shopping online.
Instead, I was met with the mantra of ?company policy.? Here I am, £20 poorer for a pair of headphones I barely used, while I know Amazon would have refunded me in a heartbeat. Today was a stark reminder of why retail is dying. If I were in their shoes, I wouldn?t hesitate to give a refund. It?s no wonder we?re all retreating to online shopping! See ya later retail ?

Don't buy from this store this is the 2nd time they sold me an item that was used and when I go to return it they say it's used and won't do a refund even though I've paid the full amount for a used item they sold to me. When I complained to the manager she took my receipt and wouldn't give it back and told me to leave when I tried explaining. The staff are rude and so is the manager

Hannah was so lovely and helpful, amazing customer service, came to get a refund for a faulty item and she ordered me another one to collect the next day but gave me some advice to try fix the problem myself at home :)

Dont buy it here. Ordered a new phone and upon delivery the delivery guy delivered to a random person in the building without checking any source of verification or ID. Lost 1100£. After contacting support i was told that nothing can be done because the driver statement says that the person confirmed the name (?)!

Staff are constantly left on their own on the shop floor when it is busy and quite often have to deal with rude customers with no support. Suggest managers are educated on how to properly manage and support their employees correctly.
