The most beautiful pub, in the most beautiful location. The food, be it week day or Sunday lunch, is exceptional...extraordinarily good. The drinks - on tap, cocktails etc. - are varied and delicious.
Despite my Wife 2 B and I living some 25 mins away, it has become our new 'local'. The team are the cherry on the top, outstanding service - thoughtful, polite & attentive.
I'm very much conflicted writing this review, as I want The Hawkley Inn to continue to be hugely successful, whilst wishing it to remain very much a delectable secret.

Perfectly placed in the mid-point of Hangars Way, we stayed for a night, breaking the walk into two more managable 10 mile chunks. The room was clean and comfortable, and even had a couple of paperbacks to read stashed in one of the drawers. The cheeseburgers we had for dinner were delicious as was the beer to wash it down. We had the full English for breakfast, which set us up for the second half of our walk. All in all, A+, would recommend!

We visited with friends last week. Although the pub does not have its own car park, the location is charmingly quiet and parking can be had in the adjacent lane or village green. This is a superb pub/inn. The food, the staff, the ambiance are all five star. This is no idle pub review. As a professional tour guide I can say you don?t come across a pub like this everyday. Its in the best English village tradition.

Just enjoyed a fabulous family lunch. Best in years. Perfectly prepared fish. Nut roast was loverly. Tteokbokki was very tasty.

Charming pub in eSy reach of Petersfield. Good range of menu options for lunch - all those our party ate were delicious and of a good size! Excellent service, not expensive. We'll be back!

We stayed at this charming pub for one night and had the £130 room. It was spotless, with a lovely view over the beer garden. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable ? we had a great night?s sleep.
Dinner was excellent. We had the burger and chips, and the burger in particular was fantastic ? juicy, well-seasoned, and satisfying. The overall atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming.
Staff were genuinely friendly and made us feel right at home. The location couldn?t be better.
If I had one suggestion, it would be to offer a proper mug for tea or coffee rather than the (admittedly stylish) smaller cups ? just for that extra comfort in the morning.
All in all, a fantastic stay. Highly recommended.

Whilst on the Hangers Way 20 mile walk we stumbled across the most amazing and humble pub. The staff were so friendly and they couldn?t have been more welcoming from offering to fill our water bottles to taking our rubbish and even sorting us some chips even though the kitchen was closed for lunch. We will def be back and felt so relaxed and welcome in a beautiful country pub. Thank you

An EXCEPTIONAL Sunday roast!
The vegetarian nut roast was delicious and the children?s Sunday roast portion was perfect. Can?t wait to re-visit.
