Ate lunch in the garden, staff were attentive and checked more than once if all was OK and could they get us anything else. The food was good, and I would definitely visit again

I organised to meet my daughter there with her partner for Sunday dinner as midway between where we both live. My daughter telephoned couple of days before to check they would be doing a roast, no mention of bbq. We arrived to be told sorry we are not doing roast dinner today as too hot. You can have BBQ out the back. Talk about annoyed, we had a beer a left. So my review can only be negative, bad communication is clearly a problem they have.

Another great Sunday roast dinner at The Castle. All cooked to perfection. I had the roast pork belly which was delicious and had a great crackling. My wife had the roast chicken wrapped in bacon which was also delicious and nicely cooked and very succulent.
A great selection of vegetables and very decent portions too.
A delicious lime cheesecake with vanilla ice cream finished off the meal nicely!
All attractively presented and delivered with polite and friendly service.

The service and food was fantastic. Well trained staff. Only down fall tables in door's are very close together. So very loud. 3 of our party wear hearing aids. And could not hear because of the back ground noise. Other than that a great experience. And we will be back soon.
Thanks to the lovely young lady that made us so welcome and served us. Well done the castle Inn.

My son booked a table for 6. 4 adult ,2 children, a week b4 mother's day. We arrived 15 mins early, asked to go in other bar as the table was still occupied, 45 mins later we asked if table was ready, they were cleaning it a third time by now it was 4.30. They didn't know what was going on , another table of 8 people had been waiting 2 hours and still not been served. We spoke again to the bar staff. Said we we're leaving, she replied ,we'll get a table as soon as we can. What and wait 2 hrs for our food that hadn't even been ordered.. I've never given a bad review b4, but honestly it ruined my day.. They need bar staff, that know what their doing. As for the cook, over 2 hrs for the other table? And still no sign of a starter.. ridiculous!!!

We used to come every time after a walk. Nice atmosphere and the usual locals.
Unfortunately we had bad experiences with food delays. The lady at the bar warned us that there were three tables before us. I wasn't expecting this to take 70 minutes.
In the meantime there were no checking on us or apologies. We were about to cancel the order when another lady mentioned to someone else about nine orders before us. This was never mentioned to us.
When we were asking for cancellations they said it's ready. We had to ask it to take away. No cutlery, no napkins not even a bag to carry the three pots were offered. A shame in terms of service.
