We held our wedding reception at The George Inn and it was absolutely perfect. The food was excellent, the service faultless, and the whole set-up was magical. The team went the extra mile to give us the perfect day and handled all the unpredictable events behind the scenes so we didn?t have to worry. We couldn?t have asked for more ? truly an amazing experience.

Absolutely fantastic, frequented this establishment for the first time with my girlfriend for a Sunday roast, oh my!! The food is sublime, I had the Mackerel and pesto on toast and she had hummus for starter and both had Roast lamb for mains. Everything was perfect and simply a taste sensation, it?s not the cheapest but you certainly get what you pay for here and that is quality.
My only small gripe is I?d like a gravy boat so I can decide how much of that delicious red wine gravy I can put on my dinner, you see I?m a child at heart and like to fill my Yorkshire pud like a swimming pool.
But seriously 10/10, your staff are top line to, friendly, attentive and polite.

Always been a fab pub right from the mid 90s when I first went in. Visited a couple of weeks back when there was a wonderful young lady serving. Kind, funny and welcoming.
However, my latest visit was completely different. My guest and I got sneered at by a person serving with a stinking attitude and ice like demeanour. More or less what do you want, not a single please or thank you and a face like thunder during the whole unpleasant encounter. We nearly told her to cancel the whole order. Horrible experience. Honestly, rent a smile needed. A shame that one rotten apple can sour an otherwise great place, but that is why front of house need to be cheerful, helpful and obliging. If we visit again and she is there then we will turn right round and go to the Red Lion.

Lovely pub. Garden huge with wooden benches and umbrellas. Bench seats are designed for ladies as step in not step over if wearing a skirt !

Great ambiance in the conservatory and nice food was served. Vegetarian option could have been a little more inventive and was surprised to be charged extra for a little more gravy.

Came here for a Sunday roast as we have always been satisfied. After lunch, I went to speak to a member of staff about booking for all my family to come for a Sunday roast to celebrate my son?s birthday which was booked and written down in front of me. (Over a month in advance)
Closer to the time I called to ask if there was any more tables available to add some friends on to our dinner on the Sunday coming. To which they told me I didn?t have a booking and would never of booked that far in advance or for 20 people. I was never told this which led me to panic as I booked this way in advance had all the family coming in two days time for my sons birthday!! Absolutely disgusting, when I physically went in and booked this not over the phone it was done face to face. I was in complete shock and panic.
I spoke to another member of staff and explained this is not my fault please can you accommodate us as I?ve booked way in advance (I thought) and I have people coming. Simple answer NO. They wasn?t willing to help, no apology or sympathy on this situation. Which was not my fault!
DO NOT BOOK AT THIS PUB YOU MAY NOT HAVE A TABLE or EVENT BOOKED!!
If I didn?t call 2 days before I would have turned up with birthday cake and family to be turned away! Terrible customer Service!
