My friends and I came here for the quiz night on Wednesday. We were welcomed with friendly staff.
The service and attentiveness on the night was very good.
For £3 to enter the quiz, which includes a curry or chips, everyone on my table was satisfied.
The quiz itself was fun and good entertainment.
Will definitely return & recommend to others.

Wouldn't recommend this pub to anyone. Called last round at 6.30pm (really!) then kicked us out half way through a drink at 7.15pm due to it being quite. Never have I experienced this in my life. Bloke was rude and abrupt, don't state your open till 11 if your not going to be

1 star is very generous.
My mate paid £42 for six pints of the worst tasting larger we all have ever had. One pint I thought was cider until the realisation that it wasn?t to his horror. Dead scene dead pints just dead. And the sign the sign can do one

Poor experience this evening. Band advertised as playing at 8 but still not on when we left at 8.50. Got to the bar at 7.30 on a Saturday evening but they'd sold out of nearly every beer on tap, and didn't even have ice! Waited for ages to be served, which was no fault of the barman who was amazing and doing his best to deal with loads of demands. A pub that offers live music really needs to have enough staff on and a well stocked bar.

Tatty, paint peeling off doors, sticky carpets and toilets a bit grim, lady behind bar really pleasant, moretti was flat but food was ok however not worth the money - sorry jolly sailer not so jolly

Had a lovely few drinks at the Jolly sailor. Electric atmosphere and manager Davie is very attentive and has a great personality. All round great spot.

So booked a table for Sunday dinner when arrived the table was not ready due to them letting people sit at the table, Went for Sunday dinner, the price you see online is not the price they charge you! Then they menu they give you with the price is still not the price they charge you so ended up being charged more.other people at our table ordered the chicken roast which should off been £17 but got charged £19 even tho the menu given said £17 so everyone at the table got charged different prices from everyone els even tho ordered the same food! The food was warm and dry Then when came to dessert had to ask what they was just got told brownie, cheesecake or ice cream so went for the brownie this came out hard and freezing cold straight from fridge to plate not even warm! I could understand more if was busy and rushed off your feet but was dead in there. I get it?s all 2 for 1 but not a place I would go back to again Then the toilets these were vile dirty and smelled like piss that haven?t been cleaned, but after all off this the only good thing to come from this is the staff are all very lovely

it's a real shame that the only pub that is well located, even in good weather, has few customers. Probably because the service is slow, disorganized and can't keep it clean. Even for the simplest food you have to wait for hours

Went to a bottomless brunch today and cannot recommend enough. Food drinks entertainment was brilliant and the staff really looked after us making sure we had a good time .... massive thank you especially to the lovely young lady who kept our glasses topped up ...will definitely be back again

The outside picnic tables are great for catching some sunshine but the place feels a bit spit and sawdust. Yet it's obviously popular, with a good selection of beers on tap. I saw a menu and it looked expensive for the location.

We fancied a quiz so headed to The Jolly Sailor. Quiz and curry for only £3 per person. Curry was lovely, quiz was great and the staff were really friendly. We had a great night. Can't go wrong for £3. A real bargain.
