The John Jacques Pub in Fratton is ok. Typical Wetherspoon Pub and still quite tidy inside. Found an empty table very quickly. Bar service was very slow, but table service was very quick. Food wasn't as good as it could be. Also the beer was a bit flat. Only had the one drink before moving on.
Parking: The John Jacques is on a main road in Portsmouth. So no real parking in area. ASDA has a large car park within walking distance. You could try side roads but its permit parking and mostly double yellows!

Today when we came for a weekend enjoyment we was asked for ID but we haven?t got the vertuall ID with as we got only Soft copy with as,We was 4 of as they didn?t allow as to enter.We gon back to get the ID. This was the 1st time we are experiencing this checking and all this formalities.we can prove our age in soft copy but why they are not allowing. Personally i got bad impression.

Customer service was extremely bad and they were very rude to us may be because we are Asians and one staff with specs were wandering over there and make us uncomfortable we couldn?t even finish our food . I was so pissed of with the customer service not gonna be there anymore . Was unhappy and desperate .

As most of British pubs,.. Sticky dirty tables and floors, no service at all. You have to order through the app or by the counter. Only good thing is that is cheaper than others.
