I went to collect a parcel and was told I cannot do so because I do not have a barcode to scan, which should have been sent to me by DPD. I informed them this is a collection that was rerouted to you via DPD from a home address, so I wasn't sure if I should have received one, but that I have the tracking information.Apparently the tracking information isn't sufficient and I need to call DPD. I double check there is no other way to collect; again, none. Three staff members are listening and I am the only person in the store.I call DPD, as I still have 15 minutes until store closure, but the DPD wait time is approximately 5 minutes on their contact page. I manage to get through to a helpful staff member who informs me the post office is incorrect; I can collect with my passport and one other form of identification. I have one form on me, but not a second, but I tell DPD that the staff at the post office said there was no other way to collect without a barcode to scan.By the time the store is ready to close, the staff member confirms, when I mention this, that I could collect the parcel if I have two forms of identification. The way the staff member delivered this line with a vexatious grin was incredibly unprofessional and warrants conflict resolution training.If the post office had properly informed me of alternative pickup methods rather than leaving me confused and perplexed as to why the conversation wasn't leading to any suitable advice, I would have been able to source the second form of identification prior to store closure, as I live in the immediate area. Instead, I was left to fumble through the DPD contact process on her suggestion for no good reason whatsoever.I have raised these issues with DPD, who have informed me they will be discussing the issue with the pickup shop's head office, and I will be raising them with the Post Office directly.In short, make sure you know Post Office procedure yourself, because one Post Office's entire team seemed oblivious.

From the moment I entered the post office, Kim greeted me with a warm and welcoming smile. They immediately made me feel at ease and attended to my needs promptly and efficiently. Not only did they handle my inquiries and requests with great expertise, but they also went above and beyond to ensure that I had a positive experience.

WARNING don't use a debit card to top up gas or electric at post office,as they take payment first then when transaction fails you have to wait ten days for your money back

I?m glad I?m not alone in posting about the terrible customer service by one individual lady at this post office. If you?ve been and I can see a few have you know the lady I?mon about. So rude and unhelpful. I feel sorry for her lovely colleagues. Id encourage everyone to use a different post office until she?s been trained in customer service, told to be happy or changed career. I now use the post office on the Havant road attached to the Tesco express. So lovely in there and they even know about the lady in question from lots of other comments made!

Awful customer service. I went to sort out my car tax and the very rude, very unhelpful, dark haired woman ( didn't get her name ) practically accused me of fraud. Even her colleagues looked away as she was talking at me. How this woman is in a customer facing role is quite astonishing. I will never go there again. I was left feeling embarrassed and humiliated. Horrible experience with horrible people. The only exception is Karen, who is amazing and deserves to work in a far better environment than this place. Avoid if you can.
