I went into the branch today as I received a form to fill in to close my mums accounts as she passed away. I was approached by Louie, who was absolutely fantastic. He was very knowledgeable & very patient and helped me fill in the form from start to finish. Top marks to Louie with the service he provided ??

Appalling.We were unable to transfer a large sum of money in payment to a local company - this is fair enough if 'the system' does not allow the transaction without further checks.What is unacceptable is a highly antagonistic manager who spoke over us whilst we were trying to find a solution. He was bombastic and difficult, offering absolutely no solution to our problem.Staff actually suggested we went home and transferred in excess of £200,000 online ! Exactly what we have been advised not to do, it was ludicrous.This whole episode was conducted in the open bank hall when really we should have been offered a private room to conduct business.We have been customers for many years and despair of the service.In recent months two local branches at Southsea & North End have been closed, we have to go into Commercial Road - which at this rate should be closed too - the service was so appalling that we are heading towards online banking with Starling and continuing with another high street bank that still offers polite and considerate service.The manager needs to address his approach to customer service, we were not angry at the transfer situation but within a few minutes of him addressing us in such a condescending way felt patronised and unable to continue talking to him.On the whole the other staff were fine and dealt with things as far as they could.

Would never recommend this bank to anyone, had money go missing out of my account by a company I don't know, I got told to call fraud who passed me to visa dispute who passed me back to fraud and so on, I've dealt with nothing but rude people who seem more worried about raising a complaint then they do with sorting the problem, being told 2-4 weeks for a visa dispute now being told 6-8 weeks, this is ridiculous!

This is the best personal banking building society on high street. Very easy to use website, mobile app and telephone banking. User friendly cheque deposit machine always works and saves time. Very friendly and greeting front desk staff and welcoming cashiers what else we need.

David and Lee and others including can make up lies including Adrian Ball regional director of nationwide if there was actual proof of mebeing verbally aggressive and kicking of inside the branch I would been arrested but there is no evidence remember scumbags there is CCTV inside the branch

Debbie was so helpful and lovely. Made an appointment & was seen same day. It's not my local branch but would go back to see Debbie if I had anything to sort without hesitation. Plus the two other people I spoke to were very polite & nice. Well done nationwide you have excellent staff. Very pleased customer ð???ð??
