I went into this store a few weeks ago, with my sister and brother-in-law. I must say I have never felt as discriminated as I did within this store.I first went into the store and one of the shop assistants greeted my Sisters. She said that my Sisters hair looked nice, and explained to my sister the deals of the day - not once did she engage in eye contact with me. I said to my sister about this, and she said it was probably me?We then walked around the shopping centre again, and we went back into Kate Spade. My Sister went in first, as I didn?t want to go in (even though I came to Portsmouth to buy a handbag). A few minutes later I walked in, with a couple of ladies in front of me. As I walked in, I saw another salsa assistant explain to the ladies in front of me about the daily discounts. When I walked her the assistant looked down at the floor.The same assistant came up to me and my sister that we saw on our first visit earlier in the day, and AGAIN she spoke only to my Sister. As she walked away, I highlighted this to my Sister again and this time she agreed that I have been completely ignored.I feel that I was heavily judged, because I don?t have a face full of make up, and my hair freshly blow dried. I have brought many bags and accessories with Kate Spade before, but this experience has completely put me off.I think this was unconscious discrimination based on my looks. I think is terrible to make a customer feel so uncomfortable that they don?t want to even enter your store.I have complained to Kate Spade over two weeks ago via WhatsApp and email and have received no reply. Shocking.

If I could give this store more stars I would. The service is nothing but fantastic, the staff are lovely and always willing to help. I had a problem with a product and when I brought it in the staff were so helpful and resolved the problem, I didn?t feel it was a bother at any point. Would highly recommend visiting this store. :)

Excellent service from two ladies in Kate Spade this evening. Bought a handbag and was then introduced to trainers and given 30% discount! Amazing and extremely professional service. Visited 27th June at around 18:00 - top sales team! Thank you.

What can I say the girls & guys in this store are just so lovely ...they make you feel so happy soon as you walk through the door ! And super helpful :)Not many shops have the atmosphere to be able to do this how lucky you are to have such an amazing team !Needless to say I left the shop with a big pink gift bag...inside this was a gorgeous new amazingly beautiful sparkly handbag!....I'm feeling so happy & super smiley :) worth every pennyThank you so very much I absolutely Love Kate Spade :) and to be honest this is mainly down to the staff the experience buying it and with the products being so perfect combined together you have the whole package deal !See you again soonTake careKindest RegardsMrs B xx

Kate Spade Gunwharf Portsmouth ...was hesitant to buy a couple of presents as Xmas gifts...earrings...as they were rose gold and not silver. Was persuaded to go ahead and purchase by the sales assistant as she would give gift receipts on both. Upon trying to take back in exchange for credit with gift receipt my friend was told no ..not with earrings..they are non returnable. I totally get why this is the rule but was told upon purchase they could be with gift receipt! When I phoned them they admitted the error was their fault but refused to do anything about it said 'human error' and they did not have to do anything about it! They suggested my friend sell on! Given they were earrings with a 'P' initial pretty limited market. So it seems Kate Spade can mis-sell by telling lies and even with the evidence of the receipt expect you to suck up their rubbish attitude. Won't be going there again...be careful you'll end up paying for their staff's inadequate training
