Pleasant costa experience

It is 15.30, the cafe closes at 5. No iced drinks available and staff neglecting the queue of customers to clean and put chairs up. Understandable if closing in 30 mins- but not 5.
Made for a very harangued and unpleasant environment with customers leaving and not ordering.

Dropped in this morning and it was a lovely surprise to see the new manager Ashley. She used to be at the branch on Commercial Road, Portsmouth, which is our regular haunt. Always can rely on her team to give an excellent service. Our drinks were made to perfection and it was rather special that our preferences were remembered. Coca Cola should be very happy that they have such great staff. We will definitely be back again very soon.

Place is fine and the manager is great but there seems to be an issue with some of the staff. Had a particularly surly young girl serve us yesterday and she kept looking at customers behind us smirking, and looking really fed up, I mentioned it to the manager and he said- ah she?s just tired, she?s worked all weekend. I did reply - yes like most people.

Usual Costa fare but the two ladies on duty at 15.52 on May 2nd were exceptional in their friendliness and kindness to customers- really lovely to experience

popped in yesterday for a coffee, no idea what it was like as the woman "serving" was to busy to talking to her friend at the other end of the counter to take my order.after waiting 3-4 minutes I decided it's probably not worth it and went to Starbucks just around the corner.maybe costa should send their employees to Starbucks for training as they clearly need it.

Visited 17/02/24.Coffee good, service not so good. Waited a good 4 mins to be served when there wasn?t anybody in front of me. Staff chatting amongst themselves and not paying attention to me waiting. I felt ignored. I didn?t complain as service staff in hospitality isn?t easy.If Costa management read this, please train your staff to be more alert to customers waiting.Apart from that, coffee was good and the restaurant was clean and relaxing.

NOT LOCATED HERE! I've moved the pin several times and it keeps being moved back.This Costa is part of Ocean Retail Park and is clearly visible from Burfields Road.It's a Costa. You're going to get the same food and coffees at any of them. The variable is the staff, and at this one they are usually friendly.

On attempting to get in the premises was locked, a customer told me to go around to the side as I was about to leave. When I asked the woman serving why the door was locked she said because it won't stay closed and we are cold. I said tescos and all the other shops doors are automatic and don't close at least put a sign on the door, to which I was given a dirty look and told I will When I get time to. There was only 3 customers in all in the shop and they were chatting about having to do extra hours. Whilst I was in there 9 people tried the door and walked away assuming it was closed. Sort it out costa seriously doors open when people try to get in

Good coffee, clean environment. It was quite busy when I went and they could have done with someone clearing tables to make room.
