It has been taken over as a 'Welcome' franchise which depsite the Co-op logos on the front (read the small print) means it sells Co-op food at a mark-up to the Co-op round the corner, doesn't accept Co-op membership cards nor offer the other services like postal facilities.

I walked in only to find out, to my dismay, that they had no cheese and bacon turnovers. Unacceptable. I had to settle for a sausage roll ?

Refused to accept Vodafone veryme offer and said it was only for stores up north (?!). The one 5 mins away on Queen Street accepted it no problem. Wouldn't shop at this co-op again due to the can't be bothered attitude of the staff.

Horrible staff, telling kids to put there bags down and they only told these black kids not the white ones. They always ask for proof that you've bought the item even though they follow u round the shop like we don't notice and stare at us while paying. Also, it takes a solid 5 minutes to have people come and serve you and let you pay. Disgracefull behaviour, need to sort it out.

I went to get a parcel today at 17:30h and I was told the post office closed at 17:00h, despite being on the website that it runs through the opening hours of the store from 06:00h - 22:00h.

Beer is always warm in this Co-op, don't have this issue in any other Co-op only this particular branch

Popped in here a few times during our short holiday at Portsmouth to buy meal deals and a few snacks. On each occasion the store was clean, tidy and the staff friendly. Also a great place to get a a decent sized coffee (as well as other hot drinks) for a fair price and can pay for these at the self service checkout. Would recommend anybody staying at a nearby hotel / B&B to pop here for here for refreshments. Didn?t get the opportunity to try the vegan hot sausage rolls but they did look nice and only £1 each.

Rude staff, ask where to go for service. Told by the cashier over there, then ignored me, no one else there. So I had to ask again for him to serve me. Rolled his eyes and huffed, so I was just as rude back. Never will I go in that shop again. Disgusting staff.

There is a very rude woman there which is a shame because most of the staff are great , she could do with going on a disability awareness cause as she was so very rude to my friend with autism .
