Good quality meats, just reduced the portions size a bit and expensive.....however its the best Turkish in Portsmouth. I guess they have to rise prices because cost of living but I think dining in general is costly these days.
Why in most Turkish restaurants they have the most smallest portion of rice......I dont get it.

My wife and I were on a 2 day visit to Bournemouth and had dinner last night and had an excellent meal with good and friendly service. This is a gem and would recommend this restaurant

Had my wife's 60th birthday here on Saturday night. Food was excellent, service was friendly and non obtrusive. Would recommend this restaurant to everyone who wants a good night out.

We came across this restaurant by chance whilst staying in Southsea for a few days and I'm glad we did.
Really nice food and great service. We would 100% recommend this place and I wouldn't hesitate to go back next time we're in the area.

Maybe it was a poor choice of food, but as the saying goes ?you are as good as your worst item on the menu?. Everything was nice but it was missing the wow factor, I don?t think it is a bad place but certainly not outstanding, it might not be the first place to recommend. I will go again and give it another try in the future, but on first try it didn?t win me, which is a shame cos for cooking on charcoal it should not take much. 4 stars from me, it is good but nothing to call home for

Wow! This was the best meal I have had in a long time. Everything about Agora is just lovely. The restaurant was pleasantly busy when we visited on a Thursday evening for a birthday meal. The food was amazing; plentiful, hot and so delicious. Do ask the waiter for ordering advice as the portions are very generous. The service was excellent with friendly, helpful staff. The decor has been beautifully updated from some of the photos I had seen online; the old fashioned dark beams have now been painted soft shades of green, it looks fresh and charming with gorgeous lamps providing just the right level of lighting. The people of Southsea are so lucky to have a restaurant of this quality and we will definitely be back next time we are visiting the area.
