Sadly really unimpressed with my Mother?s Day meal at the seagull today. First of all, when we arrived we discovered that the 6 of us had only been allocated 1 hour for our meal!!! We were never told this as we wouldn?t have booked if we knew!!! So everything was completely rushed! Then over half of the options on the children?s menu weren?t available, and this was at midday! (had 3 children with me. ) then discovered the extremely limited option for the Mother?s Day free drink. Literally coke, gin and alcohol free Prosecco, and they didn?t have that available!!!! I wasn?t even aloud to swap my coke for a 7up as I don?t like coke! Barbaric! Then when the food came, and we had minutes left to eat before our time was up, my husband found a small bug in his burger!!!! And my peas were rock solid. I complained about the burger and they apologised and bought a new one along, but obviously by that point everyone is some what off their food. My husband got a free drink and was told his meal would be refunded, but we had to chase that up!! I?ve been to the seagull many times and never had a problem, but honestly today was shocking! And for Mother?s Day!!! Won?t be going again any time soon!!!

When we ordered the roast, we said no mash potato as it contains margarine or butter and I'm allergic. When the meals came out they were stone cold, I asked if it could be put in the microwave. This they did, but when i moved the meat to cut it there was mashed potato. We won't be going back. Very disappointed.

Nice pub and food, but showing sports on the tv, so very loud.

It's a Hungry Horse. The menu was rather haphazard and difficult to navigate. My meal of sea bass was OK, the traditional fish and chips was reasonable, but the "epic new yorker" was not really epic because it was only lukewarm (yes, we could have sent it back but didn't want the hassle). There are different meal deals depending on the days, so our meals cost £10 instead of the £15 or so on other days. The big problem for me was the numerous TV screens all switched on, so don't expect a quiet meal. We've been here before for the convenience, but I doubt whether we'll bother going again. It was cheap, but I'd prefer nicer surroundings and better food.
Wheelchair accessibility: Fine for wheelchairs. Enough space under the table for a wheelchair to fit (we had a wheelchair user with us).

Asked for a medium rare steak, got a well done stake. Cheesy chips tasted like they?d been chargrilled / burnt. Fries were undercooked. Me & my partner have been ill since eating there 2 hours ago. Believe it?s food poisoning!! Gone RIGHT downhill!! So disappointed, used to be really nice in there. Now it?s AWFUL!!
