Lovely location, great garden. Nice feel to the place.
There was obviously some training going on in the event space, and if I were there on a course, I wouldn't be happy with other customers walking through to get to the garden - they'd closed the entrance through the restaurant. Very odd.

Just a few minutes drive off the A3 and the lovely market town of Petersfield, The Half Moon in Sheet offers a great base for exploring the South Downs and neighbouring villages. With ample parking, our room was comfortable and spacious and felt very homely. Really enjoyed the cooked breakfast and chatting with staff members Yvonne and Paul who gave a great insight and tips about the local area. Would happily stay here again without hesitation

Visited for a Sunday lunch. Could only compare it to a school dinner from 1993!
Yorkshire puddings were dry and as crispy as a hockey puck, beef was overcooked, dry and anemic and we were most taken back that the vegetables which were completely under seasoned, mushy and serviced on an American metallic prison style tray. It cost us £50 and I know that's the standard price for a Sunday lunch these days but this was way below standard! Do not visit this pub for food!

Nice staff great location and enclosed garden great for kids, really average food though the roast was dry and lacking gravy and the roasties were not crispy.
Shame though I really want to like it here

6 members of our extended family met at The Half Moon bar and restaurant today. We were served by a very polite and pleasant gentleman. Our meal was delicious and dessert yummy.
The Half Moon is located by Petersfield in Hampshire and is an easy venue to reach for our group who lived within a 25-mile radius.
Certainly would recommend.

Very disappointed, booked for late Sunday lunch at 2.30, arrived and didn't seem to have our booking, taken into a large room, rather like a canteen. Loads of families. Couldn't hear ourselves speak, spoke to staff who then managed to find a table in the bar, ordered, food took ages, one of our party of 3 's food arrived but had wait for the other 2 meals which took at least another 30 mins. First person had finished theirs. We had to ask for mint and horseradish sauce to go with the roast dinners ordered. Veggies were cold. Not atall impressed, would not return or recommend. The waitress was very sweet. They were busy and had a private wedding anniversary party but that does not excuse bad service, do not take bookings if you cannot serve your customers well
