There's not many food options in this area if you're staying at the Premier Inn opposite so we came to this TGI Fridays.
I know it's a big chain but I haven't been often and the food prices are not exactly cheap. However, they had the 2 courses for £19.65 offer which is way cheaper than ordering 2 individual menu items.
I had the spiced calamari starter which was actually quite spicy. And for my main, I had the sesame chicken strips with chips. For me, the sauce was way too sweet and the chicken was covered with it, but it also came with an extra side of sauce, which, I guess could be good for some but it was way too much for me.
Overall, for the price and the taste, I didn't see anything special with it and I won't be rushing back to another TGI Fridays anytime soon.

Absolutely diabolical, microwave central - confirmed by the first waiter.
Can?t believe there?s people trying to convince others that the food here is good - it?s literally unfrozen food thrown in the microwave.
Since someone else who?s reviewed claims this reminder them of ?the golden days? & a nostalgic experience - as a 33 year old, I think I saw the best of TGI?s as a kid.
The atmosphere was diabolical & the staff clearly hate working there, and find it equally depressing. Remember when the place was buzzing & the staff full of joy, covered in badges and other bits?
Onto the food, where we waited so long for our microwaved food (must?ve been de-freezing it) that the kids didn?t even want to hang around for their ice creams.
Absolutely shocking - the kids food was fine to be fair, can?t really get chicken strips and chips wrong. The adult food though, which ranges from £22-40 per dish was absolutely awful and so obviously frozen & microwave, which the waiter confirmed.
Even the potato skins for starter were depressing - I remember when the mozarella used to stretch off them, they were hot & had clearly just been cooked - now you receive a dry potato.
I know a lot of restaurants in the chain shut down in recent years & I guarantee in another 5 years, they?ll all gone.
And thank God if that?s what they?re pushing.
Left feeling ripped off that I was pauing 50% of the bill, given that was still £71.

Nearly 19 quid for a burger . Extra 3 quid to upgrade to sweet potato chips and asked to leave as they want to close.

Have been a fan of tgi Fridays for a long time and used to eat here regularly when I lived in whiteley.
After moving to hedge end I noticed that uber eats offered delivery from tgi?s, result!
Ordered a few times without issue but last night i got a delivery and spent a good amount of money and have been left disappointed.
The food was stone cold. I appreciate I don?t live the closest and have no problem putting it in the microwave to warm up but the driver must of had multiple deliveries and by the time the food got to me it wasn?t worth it (not necessarily tgi?s fault I know)
The portion sizes are getting smaller and smaller every time whilst the prices go up and to top it off I was missing an extra portion of fries I ordered (only because one portion here is tiny!)
Have disputed with Uber eats and got nowhere so the reality is I won?t order from here again which is a shame.
Cold food, missing items, smaller portion and higher prices just make it an expensive waste now for me unfortunately. Shame

It's been a good while since I visited this place last with my memory of my last visit being that the menu had gotten smaller and the price of the food had increased. The menu has definitely gotten smaller it would seem, the prices are silly for what you are getting and although there was only one family seated at the time I arrived it was still a good five minutes or so of waiting at the front desk before a member of staff showed up to take me to a table. Although the staff were pleasant and friendly the temperature of the restaurant was not warm, despite it being grey, overcast and raining outside. You would think that a restaurant would have everything available on the menu but this wasn't the case with my choice which was the ham hock and after choosing an alternative which was the salmon the member of staff had to go to the kitchen to make sure that this option was available, fortunately it was, although I did overhear someone being told that their mac and cheese choice wasn't available either.
After receiving our food choices it was disappointing that the food was just warm and not hot so altogether a very lacklustre experience which I won't be repeating anytime soon. I've had better food and a warmer venue at Greene King restaurants than here and for information it was warmer in Fareham Shopping Centre than it was here.
Apart from the staff who were nice and helpful this is the only plus this place has going for it compared to the negatives it has. I don't think I'll be visiting this restaurant or any other TGI venue again simply because I believe there are better and cheaper dining options available, unfortunate really because at one time I really enjoyed going there.

Loved this place. Haven't been to a TGI for years. Great food and great service. The meal was a bit pricey but if you have one, use the blue light card, it makes it much more affordable

Came In and asked for a table for 4 adults and two children. The lady at the desk went into the restaurant which was basicallly empty and came back to tell us she couldn?t give us a table. Again, the place was empty. The lady refused to seat us so we left. Went online to the website and they had plenty of space and tables available for the same time we went in as I was able to book it online. Extremely bad service turning people away and will definitely not be going back.

We had a Wowcher special deal. You would think that the portions would be smaller and a limited menu but boy would you be wrong ! Fantastic quality and value. Service brilliant.

Massively over priced for below average food. Ordered the chicken burger and the chicken piece was paper thin and about as large as my debt card?

We had a lovely meal. Taylor was superb as our waiter. He was attentive, polite and helpful. He did his best to ensure we enjoyed our meal. The food was delicious. The only thing we would say needs improving is that the cocktails had too much ice in and not enough alcohol. The coffee machine was also not working, so we couldn't enjoy a coffee after our meal. But otherwise, really enjoyed our experience with Taylor as our waiter.
