went in this evening with my daughter and grandson. our order came to £57. I went up and asked for tomato sauce to which girl said that would be £1.75. We felt it was tasteless and chips very crispy. unenthusiastic staff, not very welcoming.

Order arrived, the security seal on the box was ripped off and some of the food was taken out and eaten! What is the point of security seals if the drivers just break them and help themselves.
I would avoid ordering here as you may not get the food you ordered after waiting 35 minutes.
And they will blame Deliveroo of course, take no responsibility and blame someone else, despite it being their food from their restaurant - perhaps they should help the customer rather than blame someone else. But we live in slopey shoulder time these days, always someone else?s problem

Went for fish and chips. Nicely cooked with a lovely crispy batter. Chips were excellent,crispy on the outside with a fluffy inside. Would definitely visit again.

We piled into Buoy?s Plaice with thirteen very hungry people after waiting an hour for a table at the nearby TGI Friday?s. It was exceptional. The service was brilliant, the food was so quickly and freshly made. Portions were generous. We would highly recommend it!

Buoy?s Place Fish and Chips (& ice cream for your dog?)
A lot of mixed reviews for this place - here?s my simple good and bad reflection.
Good: Ample parking. Order on-line, at order point inside or interact with a human. Sit down and eat. Large menu with choices of fish, slush puppy, coffee machine, ice cream (and some for your dog!) Hot and fresh when we went at about 7pm. Tasty fish and chips.
Bad: 15 minute wait time . We ordered via a human, but priority seemed to have been given to non human systems as we watched probably a dozen people come and go.
Prices. For two fair sized fish (ordered small , a bit bigger than expected), and small chips with very dry small mushy peas, you are looking at £13, So, for two, the best part of £26 which didn?t seem particularly good value for money for what are ok-ish, better than average fish and chips.
Left some of the chips as they were small and too crispy.
So, would I go back? I have had a lot better and cheaper nearer to where I live. I?d like to think that there is something better around but at least I know Buoy?s is there until I find it.

What a very disappointing take out this evening I'm afraid!! Having enjoyed a bacon baguette from here on many occasions, it was disappointing to know that they have replaced it with a bacon bap. Not much difference you'd think, but my goodness you'd be very wrong!! The pab was beyond disgusting, & I've no idea how it was cooked, but it was seriously bad! It was dry, hard & eating the only mouthful I'd taken was like chewing on layers of cardboard! Definitely the most disgusting bacon bap I've ever tasted!! Won't be returning unless the bacon baguette is returned!!

Best fish and chips in the area!! Travels well when ordered through deliveroo too. I recommend the curry sauce if you love curry sauce too!

Brilliant place with own parking, great quality food and you can choose without batter if you prefer. Take out or eat in their clean spacious cafe. Good value and quality, haddock chips and cuppa under a tenner ??

No chips. Large cod was a medium any day. No phone number to call to say there had been a mistake. Shambles.
