We've been coming to Basmati (and it's previous incarnations for decades) It's hands down the best Indian food in the area. They offer a the usual range of cuisine plus some excellent specials. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. Basmati offers dine-in, takeaway and delivery.

Difficult to stand out in this area with so many good Indian restaurants, however, Basmati never fails to achieve this.
The team our on point and go the extra mile, the chefs are knowledgeable and the years of experience show in every dish. They will always cater for us as a large group or if just me on my own.

Always have had great service and great food here, I live in gosport and drive into locks heath especially to eat here and I recommend to all.

Lovely spot in locks heath - the food did take a while to arrive however there was 7 of us and could accommodate a table of 7 easily with a reservation. The sag paneer was sub optimal - not paneer cheese however the sag aloo was okay. The bossman gave us a curl in!

Beautiful experience at the basmati. Food incredible as always can?t fault it. Hot and tasty and I think he?s the manager, wears the turtleneck is a class guy always pleasant

I have just visited for the first time with my partner and I must say, it?s lovely here.
I?m not usually a fan of Indian food, however their Tandoori chicken is stunning.
As someone who is conscious of her kcal counting, it must be one of the healthiest options on the menu!
Atmosphere is second to none and the same can be said for the service. They really are such lovely people!

The restaurant is fabulous. The staff are so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The food is the best as Indian restaurant can offer. The manager and chef are hands on and always want customers to have the best experience. We even get complimentary Baileys !!! A fantastic experience. Well done to do to the staff at Basmati Tandoori Locks Heath !

I placed the order at this restaurant
first of all the waiting time is too long.
my hunger came to an end and when i got my food and i quickly took one bite
there was no taste at all
my mood screwed up
