Real good venue, with friendly staff and a great menu. Rather than have main courses we shared the pigs in blankets and the warm brie & bread dishes from the starter menu and had a side of chips. Both were a nice size for lunch and we're delicious.

We stayed here last night, as we needed to be at the nearby Candover clinic for an AM appointment. We arrived late in the torrential rain. We were served straight away but a lovely, helpful lad who couldn't have done enough for us. As is a condition of using the facilities for an overnight stay, we gladlyordered some food. The fish & chips are absolutely delicious, without a doubt the best bit of battered cod I've had in a long time! Sadly, we had to head off early. We were happily listening & watching the wealth of wildlife that is within the vicinity, we will be back again for a more leisurely visit so we can fully enjoy & explore the area!# I forgot to add this was our first pub stopover (we usually wild camp or book a site) & we find it via The Campervan Bible.

Lovely old pub, excellent food and staff very friendly. Good beer, they do get in guest beers so you could be in for a treat. You can also camp in their field. Will be back.

Cracking pub serving the local community as well as catering for the walkers in this deservedly popular location near the Greywell tunnel. Lovely staff, wonderful landlady and an exquisite olde worlde pub. We were made so welcome and the grub was spot on.

We stayed here overnight in the field behind the pub all for the price of 2 Sunday dinners and a couple of drinks. The food was good, the drinks were good and the outdoor loo was clean. Great place to spend the night.

It was quiet for a Sunday, which was nice, service was good, and the food took a little longer than expected but was worth the wait. The gardens are nice with plenty of room, the weather which was fantastic combined to make it a pleasant experience.

Proper pub grub - nice staff and honest food. Three lunch time visit over two weeks and real pleasure. Simple food but just the ticket

Camped in the field while cycling King Alfred's Way - dinner in the pub was simple but good, sadly dessert options were a bit limited. Welcome was very friendly, it's a proper local pub!

Ordered and paid for a sandwich, then changed my mind and had Scampi. Lady behind bar was lovely, great sense of humour and nothing phased her even when friend then asked for sausage and salad which was not on menu. All of us enjoyed our food and then walk back along the canal to North Warnborough. They also allow camper vans in field behind pub.
