The food is truly awful! Undercooked chunky chips still raw, overcooked dry burger ? the chicken Kiev is dry with no garlic sauce inside! Will never go again and the decor is dated and needs a total refurbishment!

Fantastic pub. l have had many celebrations here and have always received exceptional service. The carvery is always delicious, food is plentiful and hot and very good value for money.

Popped in for lunch, whilst waiting for my Motorhome to get a water heater fitted near by. What a lovely surprise, a carvery! Was really lovely, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Thank you!

Whilst conducting some work in the area, I asked politely if could use the car park whilst visiting a nearby address - promising to bring my colleague in afterwards to get a drink.
There was an unusual exchange in which I was given permission but in the next breath laughed at and accused of evening a liar - telling me ?I know you won?t come back?. I said if it?s such a big deal I?ll find somewhere else to leave my car for an hour as I don?t like to be judged as dishonest.
As it happened, my colleague and I decided we wanted lunch and several drinks - but of course we went elsewhere, to the Housemartin pub down the road. Here they were friendly and served nice food.
Just goes to show - be careful who and how you judge people

Food was reasonable for the price, basic but edible. The waiting staff were very friendly. Needs a complete face-lift, pretty grotty interior. My major issue with the place was they allowed regulars to vape inside. It was like I had been transported back over 20 years. Shouldn't have to be exposed to that obnoxious habit particularly when it's against the law.

Beware. When we arrived last night told that food is not served on Monday evening. No mention of this on website. As we'd walked in pouring rain for half rain this was very disappointing.

Tried here as we had seen good reviews. Dogs were everywhere and it smelt of wet dogs. Had to wait a long time for service even though they were not busy. Food was like warm, not impressed.

Popped in here spur of the moment on a Sunday. What a lovely place! 3 had carvery, 1 had off the menu. All meals were plentiful, nicely cooked and delicious. Great choice of veg with the carvery, meat was just right. Staff were all friendly & welcoming.
