Grew up around this area and used to come here often. When I?m back in the uk visiting I try to visit new forest pubs. We sat outside. I went inside to order drinks and grab menus. I asked the server if she could do a coffee and she begrudgingly said yes but added ?there?s a wait and if you?re sat outside you have to wait while we make it?.
That?s quite a poor process and not the same for ordering food where you simply provide the table number and it?s brought out when ready. I was charged £4.25 for two lime sodas, one of which was a half. I know things have become more expensive in the uk but that?s ridiculous.

Good range of ciders and beers, food very good and a lovely atmosphere. Very reasonable prices for food and dog / child friendly.

Stopped off for a quick lunch. The staff are amazing and friendly. Would definitely recommend table 52 as the place to sit (all other tables are just as wonderful) but table 52 is somewhere special.
I'd like to say a massive thank you to all the team especially Alfie during the difficulties of another party being disgustingly rude.
These guys maintained calm and professional.
We're coming again just to buy them shots. ?

Did ask the bar staff for the quicky and was informed the 'Quiche' is cheese and onion.
Slightly disappointed but had a lovely time nonetheless.

All staff are welcoming and genuinely want you to have a great experience.
Alfie was a genuine delight to talk to and have a laugh with.
Food was amazing.
Garden is large with lots of tables. Table 52 is the best.
Thanks for a lovely lunch, we will be back!

Always driven past this pub on way to the forest, glad we stopped this time as the food was great!. Quick service and helpful staff.
Also found out it's a Motorhome stopover so we will definitely be back!

Had a lovely BARK! mackerel starter and BARK! a venison pie BARK! and Aubergine Parmesan BARK! but unfortunately the evening was BARK! spoiled by a bloke who BARK! brought his massive dog BARK! into the pub then sat there on his BARK! phone while the dog barked continually. We BARK! stuck it out BARK! through the main course then BARK! left. Shame, because the staff were lovely and we enjoyed the meal, but I was getting a headache so skipped the dessert and more drinks. Maybe he owns the place so noone could ask him to take his dog and go . . . ?

Fantastic pub! Loads of seating in the driveway, homemade food with seasonal English vegetables! Couldn?t recommend more.

Booked a meal early on a Friday - while the people serving were nice, the service was very slow (or just forgotten about so we had to ask again) and despite other reviews here, we thought the food was overpriced for what it was.
