Having had a short holiday in Sway (not staying at this hotel) we suffered a car malfunction which the very helpful local garage said would take several hours to repair, we opted to go to The Manor for lunch. On arrival we were told they didn?t serve lunch on a Monday, but on hearing of our predicament, invited us in to stay in their lounge as long as we needed and also offered to make some sandwiches for us which we accepted, together with coffee. We were there all afternoon and were offered further refreshments. We were more than grateful for their kindness and cannot thank them enough. Our car was finally fixed late afternoon and we were on our way for a 200 mile drive home.

We visited the hotel for a two night break and took advantage of the upgrade to the Manor Room with a three course evening meal and a cream tea.. My room was very clean, spacious and well furnished. The decor was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were all brilliant and Tim was a so helpful when we arrived. The restaurant was lovely and the food was exceptional. I would definitely stay here again and will be booking again soon. I think the location is great for Lymington, Brockenhurst and walks with the dog around the New Forest.

We have visited the Manor on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed, this occasion was no exception. There is always a friendly greeting and our room, we have a particular favourite, is always spotlessly clean. Although we stayed for three nights, we only ate in the restaurant on one of the nights, oh how I regret the other two. The food is always excellent, beautifully prepared and presented. I'm not sure how often the menu changes but it is worth a visit, just to try the Ox cheek. We both had the tempura prawn starter, which was perfect. I then had the beer battered haddock, which I tend to choose too often, but I love it. My wife chose the Ox Cheek and luckily I was allowed to try a small bite. It was perfect, as were the vegetables and fondant potato. Sadly we had no room for desert, which I always regret, as there were some wonderful choices. Breakfast. If you?re looking for an all you can eat ?Scoff Up? this isn?t the place for you. The Manor breakfast is more about quality than quantity. The choice is good and varied and sets you up for the day. The staff are always polite attentive and friendly, we saw a few familiar faces and some new ones and all were welcoming. Overall the cost, for the service received, the quality of the food and the location, is actually very good value. Already looking forward to our next visit.

I booked the whole venue for my 50th Birthday this past weekend (11th until 13th Aug 2023) the service I received before attending was amazing and once we arrived they couldn?t do enough for us, nothing was too much trouble, although I had all the rooms booked I stayed in room 5 and couldn?t fault it, it was very big but I didn?t really get to see any of the other rooms, Tim and Eloise were great and really attentive and the food we had on the Saturday night was phenomenal the steak was cooked to perfection considering there were 27 people no one had anything bad to say about the whole weekend - thank you so much for taking good care of us, even the dogs had a great time

Lovely hotel. Super friendly staff. Lovely seating area and bar and really lovely restaurant all overlooking the gorgeous patio and garden.Rooms: We stayed in the cosy loft room, perfect for us. Very nicely decorated with a really nice spacious bathroom.Food & drinks: We had breakfast which was great, there was a continental breakfast or traditional cooked or a combination of both. We were greeted straightaway and asked if we wanted tea or coffee , service was attentive but unobtrusive.

A "classic " room , just big enough for hanging space and shelves for clothes, double bed , side tables , shelf for tea making a hard chair and TV. The bathroom had a shower, toilet and rail for fluffy towels , plenty of hot water. Comfortable but not luxurious. The dining room spacious and food good with an ordinary dinner menu, breakfasts were excellent with a wide choice, all well cooked and prompt service A quiet location , large terrace and grounds with the |new Forest just up the road .Well behaved dogs were allowed. Staff were very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our short stay .

Nice hotel, well situated, quiet and beautifully styled - looks and feels much more than just ***stars. Minimal furniture in our room, but it was very cozy and clean. Our first impressions however were dashed, when we came for breakfast on our first morning. Disaster: the chef did not turn up on time! Only coffee, cereals, fruit salad and toast were offered with apologies. No cheese, no cold meats, nothing else. Well..., we decided to wait. The Chef appeared about 9 am, so finally we got our hot meals at 9.30. This has never happened to us before! Where is plan B for such cases? Things improved after this with both evening meals being very good and the second breakfast was all on time and brilliantly served by Tim, the owner. Receptionists and all the staff were helpful, pleasant and cheerful which made our stay enjoyable. Please, think of plan B!

This Edwardian themed hotel situated centrally in the village of Sway was an excellent base for exploring the forest and nearby coast, being only a few minutes drive from Christchurch and Mudeford. Our first floor room was large with a high ceiling and large ensuite. Downstairs were large lounges, a bar and restaurant. The staff were helpful and friendly and our breakfasts were tasty and freshly prepared. An enjoyable stay in a hotel that we would happily visit again.

We had a really lovely couple of nights at this hotel. There was a lot of comfortable seating downstairs and the dining room was really nicely decorated and well set out. The breakfast was delicious. Well cooked and the produce was top quality. The staff were very helpful and efficient. The only downside was that, in order to get to our room, which was situated on the top floor, we had to climb forty stairs. As we are quite elderly, we found it a bit of an effort. Overall, a lovely place to stay and well situated for visiting lots of places in the New Forest.

First impressions of the hotel were very good, a nice location set back from the road with large, well-maintained gardens. We were welcomed by Reception and shown to our room. While the (superior) room had a superb view over the gardens, there was only 1 chair for seating, no aircon on a hot day and no fridge - underwhelming for the price paid. The room was ?tired?, i.e. in need of some refurbishment, notably torn/fray curtains more to be found in a lesser-rated hotel Later, we realised that we hadn?t been offered the Cream Tea which had been prepaid as part of a 2-day package. The manager offered to supply it but as this was just before dinner, we decided instead to take a credit on Afternoon Tea arranged for the following today with 2 guests. The Afternoon tea was excellent and served with aplomb. Problem apparently solved except that it wasn?t! Dinner was good but again below expectations given the prices so that we chose to dine elsewhere the following day. At checkout, we experienced what another reviewer has termed ?Fawlty Towers without Basil and Manuel?. The Receptionist presented a bill for our Afternoon Tea which, unfortunately, didn?t correspond with the reductions offered by the owner for the missing Cream Teas. It grated on my nerves to be told (twice) that the Owner had made a ?kind? gesture when it was far from being ?kind? to be given less than had been promised. A Fawltyesque attitude so we paid and departed somewhat disappointed.
