We had a great stay here. Although there were renovations going on. The staff were so helpful and friendly and couldn?t have done enough for us. Customer service at its finest. Room was clean and spacious and very comfortable. Food was fresh hot and tasty , all be it a limited menu it was very nice. Massive thanks To Mark , Kirsten and Matthew for making our stay so nice. You work so hard and are a credit to your company.

Lovely room , we were booked in to a first floor room but they had no problem moving us to a ground floor due to my wife,s limited mobility, One small criticism, the evening menu was a bit limited in our opinion and we,d like to suggest a few more item, s eg
Chicken & veg pie or steak
Cottage pie and seasonal veg
Fruit crumble with custard
Zoe and her team were really helpful and couldn't do enough

Dont be put off by the slightly shabby exterior facing the road. Matthew, Zoe and Ben ensured we were welcomed in with a smile and their service was up there with the best. Paid for the meal deal and all of our travelling companions agreed it was good value.

Was here a couple of days ago.All good,but a special thank you to Matthew,who has great customer service.Thought he had been there years,but only arrived quite recently.Very caring,pleasant and went the extra step for us.Thanks Matt.Reece was also very nice too.We would def go there again!

Read this before booking. Don't let the photos fool you, nor the posts that say this is a great Premier Inn. I suspect they are false, as anyone with a degree of standards would not feel this P/I was acceptable, let along good. It is located as part of but behind a closed down abandoned looking pub. We drove past it 3 times before seeing the small sign pointing to the rear. It only has 20 rooms, so imagine what the place feels like! We tried checking in 45 mins early but were told by the less than hospitable manageress we would have to pay an extra fee, even though we only wanted to drop our bags off. Seriously, the room was either ready or it wasn?t. The breakfast (which we did not have as frankly we had concerns about what the kitchen would be like) is served in a small area of the closed down pub with the bar area closed and empty, apart from stacked chairs dumped on one side. You have to walk through the abandoned areas to get to the dirty toilets. The bedrooms are old and Very tired, as is the outside. The mattress was not the usual comfortable P/I one we have come to expect in every other P/I we have stayed at, which is quite a few. It was old and saggy and I resisted the urge to look under the sheet for fear of what I would see. The room smelled of damp. The TV constantly lost signal, and had to be turned off then on, to get it back. The hot water was anything but?. The WC would not flush, and the tap constantly dripped. This P/I needs to close immediately and be comprehensively refurbished. It was also clear the staff were demoralised as they said they had been told a year ago there was going to be a refurb, but had not heard anything further. Their attitude was poor, except one young man who was very pleasant. The other one was sarcastic when I asked for head office details to complain, and when I left saying I would find them myself as he walked off whilst I was still waiting for him to find them, he shouted out, have a nice day. His manner and appearance said it all, although it did match the overall appearance of the place. In summary, location great, everything else, abysmal and not worth £25 per night, let alone the ridiculous fee charged, which I will be seeking a refund of.Thankfully we are now at another Premier Inn in Devon for a further 5 nights and it is of the usual standard, with staff who clearly enjoy their job.

Staying here for 2 days for work. Can I just say Matthew was fantastic, attentive nothing was too much trouble genuine and friendly (can I poach him to work for me) ? honestly the best service great food clean comfy room thanks

Upon arrival, we found that the car parking is good and there is plenty of space. We were greeted by a kind gentleman who booked us in with no trouble at all and told us where our rooms were. The rooms were clean and tidy.
The restaurant is clean and comfy. We were serviced by ZOE who was kind and friendly and couldn't do more to help us with anything. Not being from around here, we were not sure how the food would be. Can we just take this time to say the food was absolutely amazing! And Mark (The Chef) needs a good praise for this. The bar area is currently going through a refurb and the bar looks out of place being so big with only a few chairs to sit, it's understandable works need to happen. Overall , happy with our visit

A lovely stay. Our room was comfortable, the A/C was perfect during a heatwave. The bar was a great place to peacefully grab a drink at the end of the day. The guy at the front desk, Dan, was super helpful. It was a great overall experience.

Best Premier we've stayed at. Lovely room Evening meal menu was limited but the food was good. Breakfast was excellent- food cooked to order which meant a slight wait but well worth it. Special nod to Matthew who was serving everyone on his own and was very helpful to me in making up a plate of food for my wife who struggles to get up and ready due to disability.
