We ended up at this superb pub by pure chance and enjoyed an impromptu lunch.
The staff were all super friendly and very welcoming.
Our Starters; mushrooms in a sauce, halloumi in sweet chilli & honey. WOW. We loved them both. Then we chose the roast brisket and chicken salad. I devoured the roast, with all it's tasty veg and fab gravy. My husband really enjoyed the salad too. We also had a couple of drinks each.
No room for puddings this time, sadly. But next time, definitely.
Wish this was our Local.
Well done to you all for making our visit nothing short of fabulous.

Three of us and our large, well behaved dog were accommodated in the pub restaurant for an 8:0pm dinner booking. Our food was presented quickly and tasted great. One linguini, one steak and a fish n chips. Staff attentiveness was just right - friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.
We will be back in Hampshire in a few months and will ensure another dining experience at the Spread Eagle.

We tried this place a couple of weeks ago and while it is in a very nice location the food here was very disappointing. In short, everything we tried lacked taste and complexity.

Just had a lovely Sunday roast dinner. Had brisket small plate. Absolutely lovely. Meat melts in your mouth, vegetables done just right. Everything was great. Friendly and efficient staff. Couldn't eat all my dinner so it was put in a take out tub and had it for tea. Very reasonable prices. Will definitely return. ?

Made a booking for 1:45pm here after a 35 mile cycle from London with some colleagues. We arrived 45 minutes late and were greeted by the lovely Sam who was very gracious and helpful. Food and drinks were superb and the outside area was terrific. Will definitely be back!

Excellent Sunday roast, brisket just fell apart! Good amount of veg, nice gravy.
Lovely garden, nice selection of ales. Overall a good pub, worth a visit.

Was OK, we sat out side which ment we were a bit forgotten about, finished food and drinks just pulled up. Food was OK but lacked a bit of presentation. The play area was good for the children but the shaved old tyre floor while soft ment the kids were black from the dirty rubber. There was also loads of old sauce packed straws and fag buts in the grass so just felt a bit ruff. Still go for a care free meal just is what it is

Lovely pub. We came to catch up with friends. 3 of us had delicious roasts with 1 in the group having the ploughman's. All plates cleared!
Found room for dessert but only just as the portion size of cheesecake was large!
Friendly service. Large car park. Reasonable prices for the portion sizes. Would definitely recommend this pub. Can't wait to return.

Really lovely hostess, very attentive. Dining room and toilets are accessable. Lovely big garden with wooden benches. Food portions were generous and well priced for Sunday lunch. Beef brisket isn't my cup of tea for a roast I discovered. The alternatives were Lamb and Turkey roasts. Veg was a bit overdone for my liking but everyone has different tastes.
