Attractive country pub with plenty of outdoor seating in addition to the bar area and restaurant, which is just as well as it does get busy. The food is very good and priced mid-range. Less impressed by having a 10% service charge added automatically to my bill, even though we ordered and paid at the bar - what is that all about in a pub? This is hidden on the paper bill placed on a saucer under a handful of jellybeans, so you can't see the added service!

Superb Sunday roast. My roast beef was perfect and the service was impeccable. Wonderful atmosphere, totally recommend.

Very nice that we weren't rushed. The pub itself was quiet cold.. so take a jacket!

Came to sit outside and have some food. The service is really poor. Had to wait to get menus as they didn?t have enough. Just wanted to order some chips and a bar snack, went in to order at the till, got fairly rudely told they were coming out in a minute as they only have one staff member working. Waited five minutes, didn?t come, so we left.
If you?re going to insist on table service outside, make it more efficient.
Even when my wife originally went in to order drinks, she had to wait too long to even be acknowledged despite being the only customer at the bar.
It?s a pub that wants to be a restaurant and in turn doesn?t get either right.

My first time visiting, went for dinner and a catch up with a friend.
The food was delicious, a good range on the menu. Service was great.

Very nice place, which is obviously a very local bar and restaurant which is family based and very friendly. The food was very good and the atmosphere was good. The younger staff could do with some customer service training as they forgot cutlery and us, but otherwise, it was a great place to visit

Best pub within (many!) country mile!
Food is amazing and team (and local barflies) are beyond welcoming.
Wholly recommend a visit (but add time, you will be staying longer!)
