I have used the madhuban for over 20 years, both the Liss restaurant and liphook delivery service and have always recommended them to friends. My latest liphook delivery was dreadful. I fed back to them online privately to give them an opportunity to get back to me but, sadly, they didn?t even bother so have decided to go public. I had made a meat curry using their excellent madhuban sauces but still spent £30 on sides to accompany the dish. The 2 tubs of sag aloo were awful, packed with slimy spinach and all of 3 bits of potato! Most of the pickle tray was a watered down mush and the onion salad was only fit for the bin. The ?hot? sides were tepid at best. The only edibles were the pappadums and onion bhajis. This is not what I expect from the madhuban. As they couldn?t be bothered to send good food or contact me I will never recommend or use them again. I am very disappointed in them.

We use to love ordering curries from here. But this Friday was totally awful. Firstly it was 30min late, ie from order to delivered 1hr 30m. So, the food arrived luke warm. Then the takah dahl had a thick layer of oil on it. The lamb version of the Indian roadside curry was not like it used to be, now its sweet (was my favourite) it even had pieces of chicken in with the lamb (Bonus?). Yes, another thick layer of oil floating on top. A really bad meal from them.

There are some terrible curry?s out there but these guys are fantastic. Every curry tastes unique and full of flavour. I?m excited to have friends over to share Madhuban with them too! 10/10

Catered for an event we attended, all the food was delicious and the staff seemed very pleasant. Curries had loads of meat and vegetables unlike some catering where it's 90% sauce.

Amazing flavours, great choice, never had a bad curry here. They even do pots of sauces so you can make your own curry! Great friendly customer service. Couldn't recommend it enough for a takeaway/collection.

We got a veggie set menu to take away last night.They called us right away after we placed our order online to give us a delivery time and the food was received in a timely manner.The portions were generous and the food was d e l i c i o u s. Will be ordering from here again for sure. If the chef is reading this, our compliments to you xoxox

Delivered Take Away Thursday 13 April 2023. Ordered a takeaway on line for a local delivery 2.8 miles away. The food arrived within the allotted time and was delivered by a very pleasant chap. Unfortunately that was where the positive comments end. I have reviewed on Madhuban site Two rather sad Samosas were undercooked, soggy, rather oily and not particularly flavourful and certainly not the crispy vibrant parcels one might expect. The sliced lamb was tough, the sauce it came with was lacklustre and quite dull. The Peshwari naan was undercooked, soggy and chewy though it did have a reasonable flavour but none of the fruits on might expect in a Peshawari naan, just some sort of very sweet coconut / Almond paste. I have had better shop bought naan to be honest. Overall a very disappointing meal that according to the menu should have been very good. I realise that it was a delivered take away and therefore not straight out of the kitchen. However Madhuban to go is only 6 minutes away from my home. Unfortunately this is the second takeaway I have had with a similar outcome. I doubt I will be using the Madhuban service again.

This is our go to Indian takeaway. Good always arrives on time and piping hot and is of the best quality. Would highly recommend the lamb tikka masala and chicken dhansak. Portion sizes good and really friendly staff.

We rarely do reviews on Takeaways but we really should. Our locally resident Club Deputy Chairman and family thoroughly enjoyed their meals from this sister business to their main restaurant in Liss. On what was their busiest takeaway Friday of the year, the order was taken quickly and efficiently over the phone just after opening time. The selection was made from a very impressive range of different dishes on the menu, and delivered to the door hot and steaming within the hour. The quality of the food was outstanding and great value for money. They have certainly upped their game significantly since lockdown when it had suffered from a few issues which had let it down. Highly recommended if you happen to be in this part of the East Hants area. Fantastic! - IC
