If you don't mind waiting at the self service for 10mins then your okay, I was buying a can of monster and it needed authorisation they could hear it calling out and they left me, I know they were busy so I waited for 2-3 mins before asking and then he walked over looked me up and down no sorry and pressed it, the scanner then messed up and it asked me again for authorisation, I had to wait for 2-3 mins and I had to ask again but this time he really wasn't happy. It would have been alot quicker to just queue up and get served. Not very good service at all I wouldn't recommend this place 1 star.

This Co-op is conveniently located and accessible when travelling in Lee on the Solent. There is a car park in front of the store which would also be accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs and the store is step-free and relatively spacious inside.

Good little store, but didn't have what I wanted.

Usually fine, nothing special. Sadly I frequently wait in an empty queue with nobody in the shop and have given up trying to buy my shopping on multiple occasions. Is it some sort of trust system where you leave the money on the counter?

This coop is in need a complete restructure they need more staff and a new manager the wait for the post office is ridiculous as the manager is always hiding out the back and when he does surface his attitude stinks. Poor customer service is mirrored by a lot of the store reviews on google. People need to make official complaints to southern coop it may push them to resolve the issue. It?s a shame because it use to be a great local shop.

In response to Hope Rushford... Let me get this straight, on your 4th attempt. You hadn't engaged your one or two brains cells still capable of logical thought and checked the opening/closed times of the post office at this particular store?5 seconds on google and I can see the high street Co-op is open till 10pm. Please don't blame a sign on the door for you complete laziness and ignorance. I pray you've not passed your genes into the gene pool already.

Really rude staff, belittling customers who aren?t sure on the queuing system for the post office! There is a way to speak to people and this really isn?t it!

Although I was helped by a very thoughtful assistant previously who recommended that buying two pkts of quavers would work out cheaper than buying one which I did I was left waiting AGES for an assistant for the post office side. Unfortunately I couldn't wait - at the time the store was quiet. Returned to store again this morning with a cold response from your assistant who has worked there for a number of years who carried on filling a shelf with rolls and ignored to initially to serve me. She was aware I was standing by her. There was no one else waiting at the time. I'm aware I could have used one of the self service tills but I do not like using them. I had to speak before she turned round to serve. Maybe she needs re- training in customer service.

Good location for those bits that you've missed but there always seems to be a queue at the tills as staff are not in a hurry to serve customers.

Always well stocked. Lots of helpful friendly staff and a Post Office that is open as long as the shop is, which is really convenient. It mught be a little bit pricier than the big superstores but it's local and always has everything I need from specialist breads to the basic necessities.

The close their shop "for restocking" during the most inconvenient times. Who closes a shop at lunchtime? Missing out on key business.

Just been out shopping this morning bought 4 morning rolls and found out the price of these were at £2 couldn?t believe my eyes. I then spoke to the cashier and she said that?s right they are £2 for 4 morning rolls. That?s a shocking price hike from £1 to 100% mark up what is going on ???

At the end of the day, customer service in this kind of store, isn't chatting away to the customers you know for ages, while the que develops. Slowest scanning rate ive witnessed anywhere, as a retail manager myself, i hate to say this, but this store is poor simply sue to the lack of convenience (pace of service), absolutely no ability to addapt in terms of urgency at busy trading periods, post office massively frustrating in terms of waiting (whatever the time of day). It is possible to smile and offer swift proficient service at the same time. Been using it for over a decade, and do so only because i live around the corner. ALWAYS frustrated when i have to shop here. Id love to train them how to do all of the above, why the heck doesnt the management team responsible for this store? But to keep this balanced, stock levels always strong, merchandising standards are good. It is clean, and date code management is superb. All should be expected though, focus on the weknesses and celebrate your strengths, strive to be better. Or continue with the horror show experience ive become accustomed to if thats how you roll. I wouldnt recommend this store to anyone unless they had to use it.
