***This is just an amendment to state that a member of staff, Roy, has a great sense of humour, has excellent customer service skills and is efficient. I do hope that one of his managers sees this review as the work that he does is worthy of praise. The members of staff all appear to work hard, but it is mostly Roy who is at the till when we attend Country Market.***
Although this was not our first time at the Market, I can state with 100% certainty that we shall return because of the high standard of customer service, the range of items and the fact that the place is always very clean.
We recently shopped here again, namely in March 2023.
There are so many wonderful things to see and appreciate, such as the high-quality fruits and vegetables, the wonderful variety of cheeses, a lovely cooking section and items for gardening.
The Aquatics section was amazing (Maidenhead Aquatics). Some of the fish were absolutely captivating. The members of staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I really enjoyed watching the Mbu Pufferfish. One could easily spend hours just watching the fish. The area is usually extremely clean and properly maintained.
The Short Tail Dragon Eyes Fish were absolutely stunning to watch and the coral selection was beautiful.
If one does not like crowds very much, it is prudent to attend during the week, especially if one wants to look at the fish. Many people prefer to look at this section when the place is not overly crowded and there is not the constant distraction of other people. It would be quite easy to spend hours watching the fish!!! I also like the fact that members of staff do not follow customers around, asking lots of questions. When approached, however, the members of staff give high-quality advice.
We have never encountered a rude member of staff at this place. They always seem to be doing something constructive and provide excellent advice.
Thank you for all of your exceptionally hard work. It is very much appreciated.

I slipped over and grazed my hand in their facilities and I just wanted to wash my hand in the bathroom in the cafe as I couldn't find the ones in the garden centre. I was rudely dismissed and told I wasn't allowed to use their bathroom unless I paid for something in the cafe. Absolutely disgusting!

Card machine was not working, then gave us baked potatoes with cold cheese! Which they did eventually heat up. Food was good in the end but took an age!

How very disappointing that my suggestion to put a ?Please Close the door,? sign was received with such rudeness and distain by a member of the cafe?s staff.
The door has been broken for months , minus 4 degrees outside and a the door constantly being left open means it wasn?t an enjoyable cake and coffee today.
I was particularly polite in my approach to the staff member who was very rude and aside it was ?next doors problem.?
Please give some attention to customer care and basic manners shown by staff members.

Last year I bought inedible pumpkins, this year marrow's that were just as bad. Everything else overpriced. Better to drive another 10 minutes to Waitrose.

Good selection of fresh vegetables and all the staff we spoke to were friendly, however we did buy some fresh Chunkee Cherry Muffins, which were at the front of the store in the clearance area, I expected them to be today's date, as usually with reduced food items but only when we got home, 40 min drive away, I saw the pack said Best before 13.08.2024, Today it's 26.08.2024.
Quite disappointed

Slightly odd mix of garden centre, farm shop and other outlets, but worth a visit.

Not a farm shop. I use the farm shop to reduce plastic and other unnecessary packaging I find in supermarkets. This establishment won't help you doing that. Go to Kingfisher, Gomshall. That's a farm shop!I'm a vegan. I don't care about dairy and cattle farmers. I use farm shops for vegetables. The country market I visited has plastic and packaging for most vegetables. An outrage. This is NOT a farm shop.

Friendly, helpful staff, very good shop with all sorts of goodies to tempt. Cafe food was fine ( but a bit unadventurous hence only 4 stars) and I enjoyed the coffee. Well worth a visit on the way to a dog walk ( Sadly the dog had to stay in the car)
