The parish church of Hedge End, consecrated in 1874, St John the Evangelist is a quiet haven in what, in local parlance, is termed 'old Hedge End'. It is unusual in having a centre aisle but no side aisles. There are several stained glass windows, notably those behind the altar and one in memory of the late Reverend Mervyn Spencer Underhill, who died in 1994.

Vape shop of choice. The dude in there is really helpful. Not the cheapest but they offer a 10% loyalty card which more than makes up for it.
