Went into Hedge End today. Was excited to try and find a new sofa. Followed around the store , full-on sales pitch . Went upstairs to get away and was followed up there also ! Please try and read your prospective customers . Say hello, explain a bit, and then leave us to have a look around. Too much. Went into a different store where they did that, gave us some info and left us alone and guess what we bought a sofa. It was cringe in SCS today. Wouldn't go back

Rightly or wrongly, I have just spent the last hour reading through some reviews of SCS and frankly, I am now concerned that there may be trouble ahead! In short, we ordered a Delebio 3 seater sofa and Ottoman on the 4th June. Expected delivery is 8 August. To his credit, Matthew was quick to point out it could be sooner, or could be later. Reading through some of the reviews, I will be delighted if delivery happens a couple of days either side of the original date. I also saw on some the reviews that in a number of cases, the delivery charge was waived as part of the deal? Disappointed that this attractive proposition was not offered as part of our purchase. Inconsistency rules. Ok SCS, here is the challenge: Prove me wrong that my concerns should be unfounded and that you are going to provide me with quality goods that will be delivered hassle free and on time! Thank you for reading and I promise to follow this up once the sofa is delivered, hopefully in a positive light.
As promised, here is my follow up feedback. I am happy to report that SCS have proved me totally wrong and have delivered a first class experience in every respect. Our Delebio sofa was delivered bang on time by a great crew who kept us informed of their progress leading up to the delivery time. Thanks Guys!
Communication from SCS in the days leading up tp delivery was also excellent. The sofa and ottoman are of great quality and just what we had hoped.
In summary, we have no hesitation in recommending SCS if you are considering a new sofa/chair etc. 5*

Went to the hedge end branch today and brought the Belford sofa in anthracite grey, we met Chris he came over to us and he was so nice and he didnt pressure us, he showed us more sample colours and left us to have a look at the sofa, we did check out the other shops but fell in love with this sofa so we waited for Chris who was busy with other customers we just relaxed on the sofa and waited for him, Chris went through all the options and we got a good deal and free delivery which was an added bonus which they are doing in store right now and we got some discount which was great, this is the 2nd sofa I have brought from this store, definitely highly recommended and big thank you to Chris who looked after us, very kind sales assistant ?

Great quality sofa, but awful customer service. Consistent lies.
I ordered a sofa from the eastleigh branch and was told that it would be 5-6 weeks. In total I waited for 13 weeks.
At no point did the company reach out to me to update me on what was going on. They are practically impossible to contact on the phone. Although I explicitly told them multiple times that I would unlikely be able to answer the phone, they insisted on only contacting me through the phone.
I finally managed to speak to the store manager through email to then be met with lies. They pointed out that in my contract that they never expected it to arrive before 10 weeks. When I expressed my upset with this they offered compensation of £80, which I was told was the absolute most they could offer. 2 emails later they offered me £100 which although appreciated, proved that they had lied to me again.
I would have ordered from somewhere else if they had been more honest, or ordered a different sofa that may have not been so much trouble.
I will never recommend this company and will actively encourage others to order from elsewhere (like DFS that I have used before and should have used this time).

Great visit to finalise our sofa order - Christopher was excellent, listening to our requirements and concerns. Patiently going over our list of points and offering sensible advice and options. In the end we ordered two sofas and look forward to delivery. Very pleased with SCS

We bought a sofa from SCS. It took three months to make in Italy. When it was delivered we found that two of the support feet under the centre were missing. After emailing them we were assured that two feet were being sent to us. Three weeks later they have still to arrive. I get a mild electric shock every time I touch the meter reclining seat control, which I reported on the day it arrived four weeks ago. For two weeks they responded with emails, which were promising but since then I have had NO response from them whatsoever.

Fantastic furniture, only downside is the carpark took us nearly an hr to exit ,go early to avoid the traffic.

I took my relative to SCS Southampton. Pleasant staff at the time. No mention what so ever of a separate delivery charge until they sent a text.
This really is not good practice or custom not to clearly point this out at the point of sale. This was to be a long over due treat for themselves. First time of being able to purchase a brand new Sofa. Incase

Terrible company staff are rude in all the shops and very arrogant

Our electric armchair broke.
We emailed and called to get a technician to fix it this was 24th September 2024. Every single call out the technician has had the wrong part. SCS blame them, the technicians blame SCS.
There has been back and forth for 6 months and it is still on going.
Do not buy from this place, unless you have the time and patience to be messed around.

We had a good experience with SCS this time round. We had a great Guy called Daniel, he was amazing. Great personality, great knowledge on products, honest about the quality of the products for the prices. He made us so relaxed & was not pushy @ all. We got a great price for what we wanted so very happy. Thank you Daniel you were brilliant, you sold that sofa.
