Today, June 12th, I couldn't remember my bank card PIN.
I couldn't remember it properly either when I was shopping or at the bank's ATM.
In the afternoon, I went into the Nationwide bank on the main street in Newbury.
I told them I had forgotten the code.
And I needed help.
The cashier showed me the postal letter, they would send it in this, it would take about 5 days.
Nationwide's help is therefore inadequate, because I can't pay anywhere that day, and the bus won't take me home either, I wrote it with a mobile translator, Translet.
I logged into the app today, but my code doesn't appear anywhere there.
It is objectionable that they send a code by post for 5 days, because then the customer can't shop or travel for 5 days.
This afternoon I couldn't even pay for a coffee in Newbury with my card because I didn't know the code.
I believe that as a bank customer I am entitled to my own Nationwide Bank card code. In addition to presenting my card and ID, I have also provided my date of birth and postcode.
Please contact Nationwide Bank management to find out why their customers are not receiving the code on the same day but within 5 days!
Why is the code not showing up for customers in the Nationwide Bank app?
I work near Newbury.
I travel to Southampton once a month.
I have been a Nationwide customer for over 4 years.
I have been back to the Nationwide branch on Newbury High Street several times today.
I would like this Nationwide bank to explain why they would inconvenience a bank customer if the customer cannot remember their code on a given day.
Why is this code not in the banking app?
Does this bank not care about the bank customer?

I came in a Month ago with my elderly Mother. We were told of the new card system instead of pass books. Cindy was so helpful and understanding. She took time to explain to my Mum what was required. As I'm down from Wales infrequently. Cindy suggested we phone the following morning to access a put aside appointment. As the waiting list was currently a couple of weeks. We did, and got an appointment. The gentleman that dealt with us, was very thorough and caring. Like Cindy.
A while later Mum received Cards and pin numbers for easy use in the future. I am back down again and took Mum into the branch
To try out the New card. Cindy recognised us immediately. Again she was so caring and helpful.
Thank you again !

Lazy workers, now they're shut Saturday, meaning they're closed 100% of the time normal people aren't working, no idea how people get so stupid ... ?

Dreadful customer service. I no longer trust the Nationwide with my money and I will be moving banks. I have been with the Nationwide for over 30 years but I never want to go into or deal with this branch again. Such a shame as I have always found the customer service people on the phone or online fantastic. I have been a great fan of the Nationwide for many years but that's it for me, had enough.

After banking with nationwide in many of its forms for 35+ years, i've decided change banks, i used to use the bitterne branch prior to it closing where the staff could not help enough, i now have to use hedge end where i've had sarcastic remarks about my deposits/withdrawls and nosey unhelpful staff, so i decided enough is enough, sadly nationwide will be the loser as I estimate they make enough interest on my deposits to fund at least one staff members salary, your loss, so bye, bye, you've made tens of thousands out of me in interest, but no more, teach your staff some manners, without customers you dont have a bank or funds to lend to make more money, sadly you won't be having mine anymore

Spoken to in a very curt manner by a young lady named Claire who didn?t seem the slightest bit interested in dealing with my simple query regarding a current account.

Thank you fordealing so kindly with my panicky call fearing I had lost my debit card. Also for your response to my insurance query. It is not always easy foran elderly person ,whois not good with technology, to understand the procedures so it is nice to speak to a sympathetic human.
