Terrible hotel everything was breaking or falling apart it was in a terrible location. The staff were super friendly and that is a big thing but if I only see the staff for 5% of my time there and the rest is of a terrible room that seems like it was made by an apprentice and was left alone for the past 5-10 years
Rooms: Cheaply made
Nearby activities: Nothing one pub called the golden lion only old blokes in there with 70s music
Food & drinks: The breakfast was 10.99 separate per day. It was small portions for food however unlimited at that price still wouldn't pay for it again when I can go elsewhere for half the price for the same quality of food standards.
Noteworthy details: There is nothing to do in your room other than watch tv

Well placed Premier Inn. Clean warm and comfortable as always. Good breakfast and all at a reasonable price. The carpark is still free which adds to the value.

Very friendly lady on check in, very helpful. Room is great. Biggest issue is poor WiFi even when paying for ultimate.
Rooms: Decent
Walkability: Hilly area, steps almost everywhere
Noteworthy details: Terrible phone signal on EE and Vodafone and the WiFi is temperamental

After a long drive from Cornwall to Havant, I was expecting a lovely clean and prepared room for 2 acts and two lads (12&15). What we had was a room that would only sleep 3.
The room smelt musty and damp. Asked at the desk to change rooms, another room offered with correct beds but not made up. Room still smelt musty, and this time had damp / mould on the wall.
Staff made beds up, and with the window opened all night, we managed to get rid of some of the smell. The staff tried to help with additional cups, etc, but from previous experience there, this had gone downhill.
There were works being carried out in the restaurant. but we only ate at breakfast there.
Buffet for 2 mornings-which a member of staff hadn't counted on the demand for, as some items were slow to be replaced.
The gluten-free toast, which was required, was forgotten on the first morning, which ended up being burnt, so had to wait even longer whilst the rest of the party had eaten.
They had gluten-free cereal, which was a pleasant surprise and very nice.
3rd morning, breakfast was cooked to order. Everything was fresh and hot. So much better
Location wise, it's perfect for us while visiting family.

The food is fantastic.
The inn itself is separate at the moment.
However. They are in the process of expanding the Premier inn so that the restaurant becomes part of it. Rather than separate. As called the Rusty Cutter for now.
But the food is very good.

Restaurant only had 6 dishes you could order, wanted 1hr 55mins for burger and chips that was only warm unfortunately. People were nice and they apologised for not having food. None of the room keys worked within the hotel, so every time you left your room, you had to be escorted back so they could let you in.

This is one of the hotels that needs refurbishment but it still does the job

Excellent service from the hotel and restaurant staff. The room was very comfortable and quiet despite it being very close to a motorway. Would stay there again when next in the area.

This hotel needs a good refurbishment. Staff need a raise as they had to put up with many issues not of their making.
Food & drinks: Very poor. They ran out of food on many occasions.

Only here for a night to catch the ferry from Portsmouth the next day. I regularly stay at Premier inns all over.
The design and set up of this one is horrible, especially if you're immobile... No lift and parking can be quite a walk to your room if you have to park the restaurant end.
Room itself is fairly consistent standard and it was quiet. Check in was easy and you have to just enter the reg of your car for the car park. I was allocated room 209 which seemed literally like the other end of the hotel in another floor, hence if you can't carry bags or walk far, it won't be ideal at all.
Asda 24 hr is about 10 mins by car and Portsmouth docks are about 15 mins depending on traffic. Standard restaurant on site for food. Parking is free.
