Visited this afternoon, Ordered the eggs Benedict last time I was here and they had run out of the sauce... On this visit I ordered it again and they had run out of eggs.How is it possible to run out of eggs when there's a shop below?I then proceeded to get a cheese and tuna toastie due to the above being out of stock,I'm unsure if they toasted it or not as it came out cold and well not very well toasted at all.I'm not blaming the staff for the mishaps as they all seem nice. however I believe management needs to pull their respective fingers out and actually start managing.

I suggest avoiding the cafe. Some of the staff are always slow and clueless. Just to add the woes, the dishwasher had broken down so no crockery. Served in takeaway cups with no reduction in cost. On another occasion we couldn't have toast as they had run out of bread. There's a food hall downstairs with plenty of bread! Just needed one of the staff to have some savvy togo and get a few loafs.Cakes and scones are also often under stocked....

Had a couple of returns to make after Christmas. Had orders etc on my mobile, but the signal upstairs is very poor took a few minutes to track them down in my emails. Served by an older lady. Just doing the last item, looking on mobile and another older lady came over and told her she had to get off the till and go and speak to a customer waiting at the side. So, our server said she would give me a gift voucher, rang it up on till and left, the other supervisor asked us to move out the way as she wanted to serve other people - a younger lady on the next till had overheard and came to help us - can I say the two older ladies were rude and did not meet the service I would expect from M&S, but their younger colleague stood head and shoulders above them with regards to customer service and they could learn a lot from her. I big thank you to her for sorting out our issues and actually issuing me the refund I was due (not a gift vouchers)!

I felt unwell whilst in store today. I'm 20 weeks pregnant and came over dizzy and felt faint. The staff were excellent, the lady serving us immediately got me some water and a chair and then asked the first aiders to come and see me. The first aid ladies were so lovely and caring. Such nice staff members. Thank you for you help.

Disappointing visit , hardly any Christmas homewear items on the shelves and I went there specifically as I had a sparks voucher to use. Food hall was extremely busy with lots of staff frantically shoving their trolleys down the aisles, no consideration for shoppers , my basket got bashed by the trolley and no apology made. Can?t they put their stock out when the shop is a bit quieter? Not a good shopping experience.

Getting a ticket for shopping where there are no signs on any pillars near the shops but in the middle of the car park is really an underhanded tactic. No signs as you go into the car park either or outside of the car park so you are forced to go into the car park with your car before you realise you have broken their terms for returning within two hours to exchange a item. 10 shops including the cafes to visit with a 2.5 hour limit means you can only stay in each shop for 15 minutes which makes no sense what so ever. Has put me off ever going to Next or any of these shops again. Shame really when you go there to spend your hard earned money. --

M & S cafe is on the top floor. Very friendly staff and helpful. Food was excellent. Great selection available. Highly recommended.

Visited the store today. Down from Luton. Had forgot my partners wheelchair. Abi noticed her struggling and immediately went to get her a wheelchair. She was brilliant and helpful a true credit to the store.

Staff were very rude as we wanted a coffee 15 mins to closing time although there were others on the cafe. When they are open a coffee shouldn't be a problem. We were finished within 10 mins. Some other people came after and they were turned away. There were still people in cafe when we left. I asked for a spoon and got a comment that they were closed. Although I already had purchased.

This is about the M&S Cafe primarily, which is accessed upstairs, and has toilets near by, staff lovely, food selection of hot and cold is generally good. Tried to order a Sausage sandwich and they were sold out of sausages, not sure how that?s possible with a food store below ! Chips were under cooked, hot, but soft and not chips rather dam / soft hot potato strips.Other items were lovely.Only 3 stars due to the food, not the staff who were lovely and very attentive and helpful.

Oh my God, what has become of M&S?? Gone are the days of friendly engaged staff- I attended the Solent Rd store today to be 'assisted' by what I can only describe as an oaf with zero people skills- think traffic warden without the same levels of interpersonal skills. My several hundred pounds a month spend will now go to Waitrose, a true premium brand, not Aldi's with pretensions...

Sat in the cafe for about an hour. What a disgrace, not one table was cleaned. The floor was disgustingly dirt and food all over the place. For a shop like this it is disgusting and should be inspected. The lady on the next table to me pulled out the biggest hair ever from her jacket potato ?

Young woman serving at the clothing section downstairs. So impolite in a passive aggressive way. I was returning an item of clothing for a refund. She pointed to the self service returns, and said " you can do it over there". I said I had already queued and would stay where I was. She was clearly irritated by this! I couldn't understand why she was so irritated! I told her she was rude and should get further training on customer care. Her reply was " sorry you feel that way!" I replied " I don't FEEL that way, YOU were rude and you know it" Often I think people write reviews in the vague hope that it might get noticed by the store/shop, but of course it won't! Nothing will happen and people like that girl will continue to be impolite to other customers. Marks and Spencer need to up their game and realise they will lose life long customers, if they choose to ignore complaints. I do realise that me writing here won't help any potential customers make a decision whether to shop at this store or not, but I feel a bit better writing it all down ????
