Great to see this friendly village pub open again under new managers, Michelle and Darren. Great range of lagers, beers and ciders on tap. Sunday roast is good. Will definitely visit again.

Freya was an exceptional server, very welcoming and helpful. She had a great smile on her face and offered a great atmosphere. Would come again definitely. Lovely place to watch the cricket.

New owners as of March 2025.
We've always loved this pub. The setting with the cricket field just there is quintessentially English. The new owners have done a great job tidying it up and have big upgrade plans. Can't wait.
Food was good. Nice Sunday Roast. Will come during the week to check out the main menu. Great service and dog friendly.

A lovely spot to sit back with a pint and enjoy some cricket on the field. The service was excellent, with a solid selection of beers on offer. The sweet pecorino peppers from the bar were a standout?absolutely delicious!

I went in for some lunch having been a while ago but was told food wasn't being served until next Wednesday! Why the huge gap or if next Wednesday was something special I wasn't told. As I was only going in to eat with an accompanying drink I left. I noticed hardly anyone in the pub. Maybe not having food available is declining their potential trade. I had to drive elsewhere as the only other pub in the village appeared to only sell pizza.

Great pub in great location. Good choice of beers and wine. Landlord was excellent. Very welcoming with a lovely vibe. As for the view, who could fault it. Looking forward to visiting again.

Two weeks ago I booked a table online for today via 'TableAgent'. It was a treat for my elderly mother for Mother's Day.
I received an email confirming it was booked.

Section / Area: Restaurant - (Hours: 12:00 - 18:00)
Yesterday she popped into the pub to check the time, only to be rudely told by a guy that there was no booking and they weren't doing any food in any case due to new ownership. A lady then came over and apologised (hence 2*).
My advice is don't use booking sites!

Now Taken Over with New Owners Daren and Michelle and what Lovely Welcoming owners they are. What a Great Pub! Great Selection of Beers, Ales and Spirits. A lovely Chilled out atmosphere overlooking the Cricket green. Amazing Staff, Amazing Pub and Amazing Beer!
