Lovely food and happy kids. Unfortunately, the outdoor playarea was out of action as there was an opera performance so good for some people but not for the kids!
However, there's a little park opposite so all well!
Eve was very friendly and accommodating as were the rest of the staff too.
Very relaxed. Nice place to catch up.

Really impressed with the food and service. We had a great family meal for 12 and even my fussy husband couldn't find a single fault with his food. The Sunday lunches were especially good - generous portions and everything done well. Highly recommend.

Not been to The Fox & Pelican for probably close to 20 years, but I must say I was very pleasantly surprised. Loads of room inside and a nice, covered area outside. The food was decent, although we only had snacky bar dishes so can't vouch for the full menu - what we had was really nice and what I saw of other people's food looked delicious. Seemed to have a good selection of lagers and ales as you would expect of a Fullers pub and it looked a lot posher inside that when I last visited! Would recommend.

Popped in as we were in the village.
Very small bar area with larger restaurant.
I'd say it's a locals pub, but the barmaid was friendly.

Roast dinner was delicious! Hot and served really well. Great presentation.
Little disappointed with dessert.. However everything else made up for it!
I absolutely love the fact they offer and provide an arts and crafts table supervised with staff for children 3-10. Such a good thing to do!
Keeps the smaller people entertained whilst waiting for food or after all have eaten and just relaxing having a chat!
Waitress was exceptional. Really attentive.

Very nice pub, sat lunchtime was very busy as it was so sunny, just had snacks but very good chips and hummus!

Our server, Jane, was helpful, professional and friendly, she took note of our parties food allergies. 3 of us enjoyed our meals but, unfortunately, the other 3 had ordered Salmon Nicoise. The salad had lovely ingredients and beautifully cooked, soft yolked eggs but no dressing. We tried munching through the dry salad but it was very uninspiring. I asked for oil and vinegar and the waiter brought a bottle of Sarsons malt vinegar. When I explained he took a long time to bring some very thick balsamic dressing and said it was the best he could do.

We came early and Had an excellent meal. Ellie was rushed if her feet but still managed to look after our table very well. All with a smile and polite attention. Thank her and the chef.
