Over the years, Applegarth Farm has changed what it offers. They had grand plans which were sadly hit by the Covid pandemic
My wife and I come here mainly to the deli and farm shop. They have a great kitchen that makes nice quiches, sausage rolls, cakes and salads. They also have a decent cheese counter. In addition, there is a nice selection of food and produce including fresh vegetables. A fishmonger comes here on Thursdays
The restaurant has now reduced hours but Bucci Pizza and Dylan?s ice cream add food options. In addition, there?s a pet shop and an art gallery onsite

Nice casual dining in a country setting. We did have to move our seats from the verandah to the garden because of the amplified guitar and vocal music. Lunch took a long time as it was busy and staff seemed rushed. Otherwise all good ?

Was so excited for my favourite breakfast in surrey as I am only in the area once a year. Spent 2 hours waiting for my breakfast (poached eggs on toast with a sausage), after waiting an hour and a half for my juice I was told it takes that long because it was freshly squeezed which is not a good enough excuse. I am aware its not fast food and happy to stay a while but this was too much. I didn't receive any salt and pepper with my meal either and had to fetch it myself which would have been ok but a service charge was added to the bill so I did expect some level of service.
I overheard a woman who I think may have been the manager tell her staff to deliver a breakfast to ?the woman with the frizzy hair? and pointed to another patron which I found very derogatory. As someone who has worked in the service industry and was previously a fan of the place, I really hope this gets sorted out as I found the staff dismissive and uncommunicative as to why it took so long.

We turned up an hour and 10 minutes before breakfast ended but were told we couldn?t have breakfast, even though the restaurant was half empty. The waitress asked the chef who clearly couldn?t be bothered.

Used to be a favourite, but very disappointed this time
I?ve always recommended this place in the past and loved coming here, but sadly our recent visit was a letdown. We had booked a table just for a breakfast and were left sitting for over an hour with no updates or explanation for the delay. It wasn?t even particularly busy. In the end, we paid for our drinks and walked out. Really disappointed, as this used to be one of our favourite spots.

Lovely new find with a beautiful setting and friendly, smiling staff! Loads of food choices, all homemade.....it's just that if you are vegan you'd struggle, that's why a star has fallen. I imagine they might rustle something up if you asked.....
But the food that was had by others was amazing, and the apple danish was out of this world; it was actually glazed with apricot jam, like in the good old days of proper baking!
I'd still highly recommend it here, it's well worth a visit if you aren't a vegan ??

We came yesterday for lunch and we are so glad we did, the food was incredible and very generous portions, the waitresses were so sweet and the food really was so fresh and high quality, highly recommend their Pear and Date pudding! Can?t wait to come back

I ordered the steak on caramelised leeks
I was advised by the waitress to order the steak medium rare as it was charcoaled - so I agreed. With a huge sharp knife given me - the steak was extremely difficult to cut let alone chew and the caramelised leek was impossible to try and cut/chop up
Not a nice experience and Definately will not be going back !!!

We visited on Saturday morning. Overall we had such a delicious breakfast however a few things let it down. We were told they were out of the bowls and croissants. Which was quite a big part of the menu. I have to say the quality of the food is outstanding, however the service needs improving a little. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. But they missed an orange juice. They also got a substitution wrong for black pudding which we can't eat! They also don't serve beans with the cooked breakfast but had also run out of ketchup, even though the shop next door sells this! If you aren't going to do beans then you need to offer ketchup. The scrambled eggs was next level, they were incredible. However the bacon was burnt which let it down.

I had some cake, delicious, but the portion was small. I mentioned it to one of the waiters but was ignored with a nod of the head.
