Loved everything about our visit. Best roast I've had in a pub for a very long time, gorgeous plentiful food. Excellent service - had an adult with autism in the party, and they were very understanding. Great atmosphere. Will be back!

Last time I was here was 40 years ago. Took my mother out for lunch and it was great. Tasty fresh food, excellent service and good prices. Was really impressed, Would definitely come back again to eat next time I am in Gosport.

Had a great time here one evening with some friends. Staff were excellent and the pulled lamb shepherd's pie was lovely. A friend who had medium rare rump steak said it very tender and cooked just right.
We will return again.

Been working in hospitality for 20 years as chef/waiter.
You have a beautiful location but service was not to match,ordered bottle of wine.No waiter opening it or offering a taste,no banter/chit chat/no food check back just didn?t feel welcome.
It wasn?t busy for diners,if it was would be understandable.
Food is ok but make customers few happy and special .
When we first arrived we thought how are so many tables empty on such location,this answered our question.

We had the chicken schnitzel and it was good the service was good it was just a shame at the end the lad behind the bar didn't know what an Irish coffee was !

A lovely waterside pub for all occasions
Parking: The pub has its own 15 car bays behind the pub, but there is a larger free parking lot just back up the road off Heritage way

Only stopped for a livener while cycling past. Very pleasant sat outside in the sunshine with a beer, watching the world drift by. Noted that they are putting on live music and will be hosting a charity raft race soon. (apologies I didn't note the date)
