Clare and Sarah provide a relaxed and encouraging environment in which to enjoy discovering, re-discovering or practising art.
The syllabus covers the basic techniques in a variety of media over the course of 13 weeks. Each class starts with a demonstration, followed by the class doing a warm-up piece and then a main exercise using the medium and technique of that day. Clare and Sarah do the rounds during the exercises, offering advice and help.
Having zero formal education in art, I have had a lot of fun discovering that I can actually draw a bit, and, with a little more guidance next term, I hope to branch out into painting too.
It has also been fun to share this journey with the rest of the class. There are some really accomplished artists among them, but also quite a few complete beginners, like me.
If you are thinking about going to art classes to learn from scratch or to improve, you couldn't do better than this course.

Very Busy Shop, tight aisles but loads of value offers so worth going in and getting stuck in. I like their range of week to view diaries. Good offers. This and Card factory make the Hart Centre a worthwhile trip
