We got married here so decided to return for Mother's Day lunch. Kim and her team put on a great event, fantastic food, great entertainment and even a kids show for our two little ones. All the staff are v friendly and helpful. Love this place.

From check in to check out we had an incredible stay.Staff throughout from reception to bar staff were friendly welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in the ancells suite and the room was simply stunning and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast was 5* both times left feeling full and very content.I wouldn't think twice about recommending the lismoyne hotel and we will definitely be back. Many thanks to Ali for all your help from original booking to checking out.

Today we went to the Lismoyne for afternoon tea which was bought for us as a gift. We had a choice of venues but chose the Lismoyne as it looked quite countrified. The building and interior looked quite nice from what we could see. Staff seemed quite friendly. The reason for my review is to rate our afternoon tea experience.Upon arrival we were asked to take a seat whilst our tea was prepared.Only after a short while we were shown in to the restaurant area which didn't feel that special. There was a large table in the middle of the room which looked like it was left there after and event. We were shown to a table for two people which we chose. The server asked us what sort of hot drink we would like and we chose Earl Grey. This arrived sadly in a glass and stainless steel teapot and not a nice traditional bone China one. I feel a good special bone China tea service is expected by most people for such an occasion. This is our preference anyway. The tea stand arrived along with our sandwiches of which we had two lots of cheese and pickle. We had no dietary requirements upon booking and wondered why we only had a choice of three. The rest of the tea was to our satisfaction. One other little criticism was the background music which was blaring in the ladies toilet and also unsuitable for background music in a room for afternoon tea diners.A little classical or soft jazz may be more suitable. Very unrelaxing. We were only seated for just an hour. If the atmosphere had be more relaxing we may have stayed a little longer and enjoyed our experience.Sadly we will not be returning to the Lismoyne.

Rooms: Rooms are very dated and in need of some investment. Functional but lacks anything to warrant four stars.

If you are going to Fleet and are looking for a quiet hotel but relatively close to the city center do not hesitate to choose the Lismoyne. It has a traditional, country, English style, with the amenities necessary for a pleasant stay. The welcome/reception is friendly, as are all the staff. The room I stayed in was quite large and comfortable, with a large window facing the front garden and a very nice tree. Breakfast adequate, English style. I loved the route from the hotel to the center, on foot it is about 10-12 minutes, because I had the opportunity to admire well-kept gardens and houses. In general the area is quite quiet.
