Great and better prices than competitors (in the same business park). Billy was the person who dealt with us and he was a pleasure to talk to and made us feel at ease. We just came from one of their competitors unsure on what to purchase and at the end we ended up buying from DFS because of the price, the quality and Billy who was a great salesman

It seemed to be a straightforward order process. Delivery would be as advised, got all the normal bs about quality and the fact that dates are set, yadda yadda. No, the day before it?s ?due into the delivery depot? we get a message via the portal that there?s a 3 week delay in the fabric. Surely they would have known this the day before it?s due into the delivery depot or do they manage to cover sofas on a Sunday in less than 12 hours? Appalling customer service, couldn't give a stuff over a ?slight? delay?.. Spend your hard earned cash elsewhere.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to DFS and especially to David Vinson from Farnborough for their outstanding customer service. David was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process of arranging our discount. He went above and beyond to ensure everything was handled smoothly.

Really bad experience recently at this store ( we did go on to buy from another dfs store in portsmouth and had a great experience)
All staff ignored us and when we did approach staff ourselves (an older gentleman) he was very unhelpful and slightly rude, we knew the sofa we wanted as had already researched online, I'm guessing because it was 50 minutes before closing time he couldn't be bothered with the paper work and basically talked us out of buying the sofa, because we don't have French doors into our living room he said it wouldn't fit although we had done our research and where willing to take the risk, felt like he was basically refusing to sell us the sofa, so we left.
We ended up spending double at a different branch and had a great experience

? 1 Star ? A Shocking Lack of Customer Care & Accountability
If I could give DFS zero stars, I would. This has been, without doubt, the worst customer service experience I have ever encountered.
I ordered a sofa from DFS, with a confirmed delivery date of 21st January 2025. Based on this, I responsibly disposed of my old furniture?only for DFS to fail to deliver and leave my family (including my five-year-old daughter) sitting on the floor for three weeks with no clear resolution.
Where DFS Failed:
? Failed delivery with no prior warning?we only found out when we had to chase them.
? Zero proactive communication?I had to repeatedly contact DFS for updates.
? Store staff dismissed responsibility, saying they "only deal with sales" and offered nothing but a hamper as an apology (seriously?).
? Multiple conflicting messages from customer service?one minute my order was arriving, the next there was another issue.
? Complete lack of ownership?DFS treated this as a minor inconvenience, when in reality, it has caused significant disruption to our home life.
The Final Insult?
Even when delivery was finally scheduled for 11th February, DFS almost refused to deliver because of an admin error they originally made and had already corrected!
For a company that claims to be a leading furniture retailer, DFS?s approach to customer service is shocking. If I hadn?t persistently chased and escalated my complaint, I doubt I would have a sofa even now.
Would I recommend DFS? Absolutely NOT. If something goes wrong with your order, expect excuses, delays, and a total lack of accountability.
DFS, I suggest you rethink how you handle customer issues?because this is not acceptable.

Whilst the store staff were nice DFS quality and aftercare falls short of expectations for the cost of the product.
Items starting to fail at the 12-14 month mark, misdirection from customer services and additional charges for "fixes" that left the product unsafe in a household with small children.
Probably OK for your basic sofa, would not recommend for the higher end or electric ones.

Ben was extremely helpful and friendly from start to finish. He answered every one of our questions and made the whole process of buying a sofa simple and easy. He made us feel comfortable and provided brilliant service throughout, which contributed to our decision to buy a sofa today and not in a months time.
DFS itself is a much nicer environment and in a class of its own. Far more welcoming than the likes of SCS or Sofology nearby, where you feel like a sales target.

The wife and i are considering a new sofa and was helped by David in DFS Farnborough. He was knowledgeable, super helpful and not pushy. hes a credit to the business, we was impressed by him hence the 5* review for the experience he gave us. We have purchased our last 2
Sofas from DFS.. soon to be a 3rd! Thanks to David.

I went to DFS store in Farnborough today with my family and start looking around for the furniture which will fit my front door as it is small.
I've asked the sales person whose name is John who is a bit older age to help me with measurements, just making sure that after waiting for 12 weeks to be delivered, will fit and we don't get disappointed.
Unfortunately, the sales man was absolutely rude and didn't have the intention to help, as he keep saying it is not there problem wether the sofa will fit the entry door or not although I've all the measurements with me and I'm asking him to help me to choose the right one.
Suddenly, he start getting aggressive and start yelling at me front of my wife and little son for no reason and refused to assist me and walked away and he called some other sales man to talk to me!
This salesan whose name is John, absolutely out of order and his personality absolutely stinks.
I advice him to look for a job for himself maybe in a scrapyard or somewhere like that as he is very very rude and does not suite him to work in a big place like DFS.
Absolutely embarrassing!!
For sure he hasn't been trained by professionals about how to talk to customers.
If I could I will rate the customer service well below zero.

To say the least it has been a complete shambles from the beginning, we ordered are sofa in the Farnborough DFS store back in June and was told that we were able to have the DFS sofa delivered in August.
To say the least that we were hounded for the next two months for them to deliver it to us early?. We explained multiple times by email and with customer service that we were on holiday and wasn?t going to be able to have the sofa delivered in June !
It was agreed via email that we could do one particular day in July, but wasn?t happy because we were looking for it to be in August as that was agreed in store and via email?
We then had a call again from the delivery man, saying that he was on his way with the original date that DFS wanted to deliver in June !! it ended up being turned away because we weren?t in, so there was no communication on the store, customer service or delivery side what?s the ever !!!
When the sofa finally arrived, the delivery man said that there was a fault and that he couldn?t connect the sofa together, and it was missing two legs, but he was going to report this as a fault well ? after waiting three days for customer service to call, I ended up calling them myself and what a surprise it was never reported. They had no idea that there was a fault!
To this day, we are still awaiting for now the parts to be delivered and I have been told this morning that they?re not going to be arriving till August, so I could?ve had my sofa on the date that I actually wanted it to be delivered in August? instead of them having to hound me and going through all these issues!
I?ve not had one apology or anything from the services and will be taking this a lot further and receiving some sort of compensation, because we ended up having to move some holidays around and having the stress of having to try and find someone to be around for the delivery on a date we didn?t even want !
Disgusting and shambles to say the least and I would not recommend anybody ordering from DFS because they lie to you and all they want is to get their deliveries out, but not actually take accountability for how much of a shambles the whole process has been!
The men that work in the store to be honest are completely useless, emails and speaking to them they just don?t have a clue ?.
We are now stuck in a contract with you guys, but I will be pushing to get some sort of money back because I?m now sat on a sofa which is still not connected. It?s completely uneven and this is not what we paid our money for. I hope you see this, and you should be ashamed of yourself for the customer service side that we have received!!

***WARNING*** USE THIS COMPANY AT YOUR OWN RISK
I've had an absolutely terrible and stressful experience with this company.. I initially bought a sofa in store which was originally a 1 week delivery, however as we went through the payment process in store I was told that this was actually going to be a 6 week wait. Although this was a bit of a shock I really wanted the sofa so decided to proceed.. I wish I hadn't as it has been a complete nightmare. It got to the 6 week deadline, everything seemed to be going OK and I got a phone call to say that it was going to be delivered in a couple of days, and I received a confirmation text to say it was coming. I was delighted as I didn't currently have any sofa and it was finally being delivered. However, the day before it was meant to arrive I got a phone call to say the sofa wasn't coming and In fact hadn't even been made yet!!! , and I would have to wait another 2 months but this wasn't guaranteed and could be longer.
I immediately went to the store to speak with the manager, he said that I could swap from the fabric version to leather and this was now in stock and would be a 1 week wait. I had to pay an extra £200 but I was so desperate for a sofa by this point I decided to go ahead. A week later, to my absolute surprise i received an email to say that the sofa is going to be 2 additional months wait (again).. I went straight to the store again and spoke to the manager, he said that the system didn't update and he put through another order and checked the stock and assured me that the sofa was definitely in stock and that I would receive it in a weeks time. Another week goes by and I receive a phone call on the Thursday to say that the sofa is booked in for Monday and received a text to confirm, again I was happy as it had been so long.. The following day I received another phone call to say the sofa isn't actually coming as they don't have the stock and it would be another few months. Again I spoke to the manager and demanded a full refund. This was the most redicuous and stressful experience of buying something I have gone through. Im still waiting for the refund and I still don't have a sofa!!
