We had the Christmas dinner booked and needed to choose the option upfront. As one of our party didn't make it,they still prepared the food and didn't even ask in the beginning. As I didn't booked it myself it would have been nice from the staff to explain what we ordered and what is included in the set price. The staff was not very attentive and we had to go to them twice so we could order some drinks. Food was ok but nothing special. Won't be returning to this place as staff was not helpful and not very attending.
Parking: You can park at Sainsbury's for 2 hours for £2

Abysmal. Run out of food and messed up the order despite being pretty empty. Food bland and cold. Other tables also sending food back. Absolute shocker, will never return.

Genuinely the worst dining experience I've ever had. Booked months in advance for a Christmas lunch, arrived and "greeted" by a particularly miserable waitress, can't really blame her mind. We were told there was no festive menu, no gammon, no fish, to be honest she'd have been better off telling us what they did have. A chicken burger seemed a safe bet, unfortunately this came out resembling a 99p chicken mayo from McDonald's, about half a regular portion of chips and a teaspoon of coleslaw with no mayonnaise. The beef burger also looked like a £5 child's meal, I won't be returning to find out what it tastes like for myself though. To top it off, the beer selection was woeful. Just as well really as we were told not to stay long because they wanted us out the door sharpish as they had another table they had to (attempt to) cater for.
In summary, save your money and buy a happy meal instead.

We came here as a booked group of 7 for a Christmas lunch. Upon arrival, we were greeted quickly but told that there was no festive menu, no gammon, no salmon, no corn on the cob, chunky chips, along with a list of other things. We were then told to order food quickly due to another party of 30 coming in, which was quite rude.
We decided to stay due to being a work lunch and went to our booked table. The table was sticky to touch which I assume is due to the cleaner concentration used.
We all opted for a burger of sort, which was nice, except the beef burger patty was very thin and the chips were a little scarce. The crispy chicken burger was nice, again a little scarce of chips.
The waitress was polite and helpful, although she was stretched to all the tables so was a bit hard to get service from.

Booked 6 weeks ago for a friends Christmas get together. On arrival, we were told they had no turkey, gravy, pigs in blankets, vegetable wellington (only veggie option on the festive menu), tomato soup, Black Forest gateau, cheesecake! I had called in advance and informed we did not need to pre order.
Service was abrupt, slow, had to ask for extra drinks. When the starters were cleared, they tried to get us to reuse our dirty cutlery.
No vegetables served with mains. Food was ok but not great.
We will never return and it's such a shame that a previously good chain has gone so downhill, with many branches also closing.

Booked our staff Christmas meal here a month ago. We turned up only to be told that they were out of most of the menu by someone who was pretty abrupt, uncaring and not at all apologetic and told us we were better off going elsewhere. No advanced warning or apology and we had to go to the local Wetherspoons for our Christmas meal instead as we had no other option. I understand that the lack of food was likely out of the staffs control but some empathy and apologies for the inconvenience would have been appreciated.

Our first time here and not the best experience. Kept waiting at reception, unfriendly staff and sticky tables. Food was usual high standard but I would have to think again about going back.

Came in for a drink at 10pm. The barmaid was clearly looking to close early and I was made to feel very unwelcome. I sat next to the tv to have my beer and she switched it off. I wouldn't bother coming back.

Parking: £2 parking fee, which is refunded off your bill. Max stay 2 hours.

We visited the beefeater this evening. Fillet steak was cooked to perfection. Great service and perfect atmosphere. Restaurant was clean and modern. One of the nicest meals out we have had in a long time. Highly recommended
